Samantha's School

Chapter 10

In a few weeks, I was all healed up and they told me I should start going back to school.

"But the school burned down, remember??" I told her.

"We know. You are going to have to be going to a different school," Chelsea answered.

I thought in my head, 'But how are we going to go to another school if we are all wizards?' That was the only wizard school and not everyone in the hospital even knew we were wizards. I guess we will go to a public school, which will be like the school I went to back in New York. Most of the other wizards will have to hide their powers and learn like a normal child would. I wonder if the other kids already went to school, the ones that were fine after the fire?

"Chelsea, what school will will be going to?" I asked.

"I think your school will be attending Quinton Academy," Chelsea answered. She told me that I will be starting the next Monday.

I was excited to see all my other friends again, but I was also nervous. How will all these wizards keep there identity? The public school kids will eventually find out. I hope they get the new school rebuilt soon.

Monday arrived really fast. My parents bought me school supplies and everything a normal kid would need. I was really scared; I have to survive this first day without Alice.  I hopped on the nearby bus stop and got in with the rest of the kids. Some students stared, I had some darker parts of my skin.

When we got to school, I looked around to find kids that went to Junstim Wizard Academy. I saw a few, some that were in my science classes, some in my wizardry classes. They looked like they were embarrassed and awkwardly walking around like they were missing something. I know what they are feeling.

A girl that was in my Earth Science class walked up to me in the hallways.

"Hey. I was wondering where you were. You look like you were in the fire. What happened? Oh do you know who I am? I'm Aria. Wait, you are in my earth science class right? That means you couldn't have been in the fire. What happened??" Aria blabbered.

"Okay, okay, I'll tell you. You are really the only person I know who goes here," I said. "I went into the fire to try and find my best friend, but just got hurt. Went to the Hopsital. What's you been doing?"

"Nothing much. We got a lot of days of school off and it was really really really fun and now I had to go back to school likeeeeee likeeee uh a few days ago and oh! What classes do you have? We might have home room together!" Aria said.

I pulled out my schedule and it turned out that we had half our classes together. I couldn't want until Alice came, she would love Aria.
