No Need to Say Goodbye

Chapter Four:

I sniffled and waited for Percy to call. I stared at myself in the mirror "Ugh, I look like crap..." I mumbled and grabbed my brush. I ran it through my long, curly blonde hair as I stared at my stormy grey eyes in the mirror.

-beep beep beep beep-

I looked at my laptop. 'In coming call from Percy Jackson' I clicked the accept button and Percy's face appeared on the screen. He smiled at me. "Hey Wise Girl!" He waved.
"Hey Seaweed Brain." I smiled a little. Percy's smile faded away.
"You don't seem so happy..." he said. I shook my head, no. Percy got closer to the screen. "Is, is that a noodle in your hair?" I quickly pulled it out of my hair.
"Uh, I guess so..." I frowned. I avoided his eye contact.
"You're eyes are red, Annabeth. What happened today at school?" Percy asked. I shook my head. "Wise girl..." I looked back at him and sighed.
"Percy it's okay. I'm fine. I promise" I said. He sighed.
"You're a bad liar."
"Don't care. I'm fine, Percy."

-Flashback-
Percy laid in a bed. He fainted outside when he got to summer camp. The camp director told me to take him to the camp imfirmary. I sat by his side for a while until he woke up. I wasn't completely warmed up to him, in fact it was the first time we met. I looked at the drowsy kid with black hair and green eyes. He looked up at me. I said one thing. "You drool in your sleep." I said casually.

-Reality again-
I was smiling like an idiot at my litte memory. Percy was staring at me. "What?" I snapped out of it.
"huh?" Percy lifted an eyebrow at me. "oh...just a memory." I said. Percy nodded. "Summer camp." I smiled again. "The first time we met."
Percy laughed. "'You drool in your sleep.'" He mimicked. I laughed with him.

We talked for over an hour. "Oh god, Annabeth..." Percy sighed. I looked at him. "I miss you. Everyone does." He said. I frowned and nodded. "Yeah, I miss you guys too." I murmured. "A lot." He nodded.

I looked at the clock. "Oh jeez it's 10pm. I gotta get going." I said. Percy looked at me and frowned. "awww..." I nodded. "I know." I waved at him. He waved back. "Bye."
"Bye" Percy said sadly. I clicked the end call button. "Until next time." I whispered and stood up.

I got ready for bed. I brushed my teeth and then climbed into bed. "until next time." I said again and drifted off into a deep sleep.
