Konoha was closer than I expected and arrived at the gate looking at the two guys inside the booth talking to each other. One with black spiky hair with bandages running around his nose and the other had flat brown that covered his right eye. The flat haired one noticed me and cleared his throat while handing me a paper and a pair of apartment keys. "You are...Makki, correct? The Hokage told us to give you these and to head straight to the academy right after you drop off your things." He spoke.

I nodded walking into the village after waving to them. Most of the villagers paid no attention to me, but I was greeted with small smiles as welcome and curious glances as I walked by. I stopped at the giant four Hokage monument, but for some odd reason, there was graffiti on all four hokage statues. Who would disrespect such well known legends? I turned around and saw a flash of orange and two people chasing after it. Or him...? The orange blob was laughing loudly. I simply shrugged it off and walked in the direction to the new home I am staying in. To my knowledge it should be an apartment not too far from here. I walked through a nearby alley hoping it was a shortcut.

Hearing a faint scream getting louder by the second, I turned around and I saw the same boy; blonde hair, whiskers, blue eyes, and wore a black shirt with an orange jacket around his waist and orange pants. He was coming in hot, and I knew there wasn't enough time to move. My eyes widened as he crashed into me sliding across the rough ground. Somehow, he maneuvered our bodies around to where he collided with the ground in such short time. "Sorry I didn't mean to crash into you like that. Believe it!" The strange kid sat up rubbing the back of his neck with a bright, cheeky smile. I moved to sit in front of him. "It's alright..." I said looking at him. He seems kind of weird...

The boy chuckled before standing up holding out his hand. He looked around my age but shorter. "My names Makki, what's yours?" I asked him, taking his hand as he was looking around suspiciously. "Huh? Oh, my name is Naruto Uzumaki, and I'm going to become hokage one day! believe it!" He shouted. "Wanna help me find my apartment? I could use the help." I said looking down at my feet. I assumed he nodded. "Come on, let's hurry." Naruto said and started walking. I quickly followed him after telling him my apartment number and we walked in silence.

"Hey Makki." Naruto said looking at me still walking. "Hmm?" I replied looking at him quizzically. "What's under your mask?" He asked referring to the black, skintight turtleneck that was also a covering the lower portion of my face. I was wearing a tan oversized crop top over my turtleneck and black shorts that were layered on top of by a black skirt that was open on each side. and I grinned underneath my mask a chance to mess around with the blonde boy. "Do you want to know." I said and he nodded. "You bet I do, believe it!" He said excitedly. "Hmm, no." I spoke finally, amused by his over dramatic reaction. He groaned loudly and I stopped in my tracks looking behind me. Naruto stopped and looked back to see what was up. "You coming, Makki?" He asked. "Yea I just thought something was following us." I said and he nodded. "Alright!" Naruto said jumping up and down laughing. "Come on, Makki! Let's hurry." He said and started running. I ran after the little knucklehead with a small grin on my face.

"Ok, we're here." He said as I unlocked the door. We both stepped inside the small apartment, I tried to get used to my surroundings, but it was so plain looking, I thought I'd might die of bareness. "Remind me to look for furniture later." I said and Naruto looked at me while I dumped my heavy bag by the door. "Next, I'm supposed to head to the Academy..." I said before looking at the small pamphlet one of the ninjas at the gate gave me, looking for the academy on the map. "The Academy? I know where that is! Come with me, I'll show you where everything is!" Naruto shouted, standing confidently. I rolled my eyes before setting the pamphlet down. "Lead the way, whiskers." He then smiled and started out the door with me trailing behind him.
