I slump in my chair as my dad paces back and forth. He's been shouting for hours on end about how I should execute his plan. His mood has been very bipolar, too. Either he's ruthless and angry, and demanding me to finally make something of my worthless self. Or he's sweet and fatherly, telling me how brave, beautiful, and cunning of a daughter I am that he'd be so proud if I manage to complete this plan.
"Those other kids are foolish! They should've listened to their parents and taken over the whole kingdom. I would be destroying the whole earth by now if it wasn't for them wanting to be nice and good!" He spits out the words like I do his servants cooking. Yes, his two servants, Pain and Panic. They've basically been my parents since birth. While my father takes care of the Underworld and death and all that, he never had time to even think of his own daughter, and never did he actually tell me what happened to my real mother. So Pain and Panic have always been there for me from birth until today, the day I leave this awful island to go to Auradon. The new ruler of the land, Ben, always planned to have more villains visit, but who would've thought it'd be so early? What a silly boy.
"Thana, sweetie, please. I promise, when you do this, we'll rule the world together! We'll have the power! And you'll be able to do it with me, your father!" He walks up to me, the blue fire on top of his head is calmed. I look my father in the eye, then away only to think this through.
I've always wanted to to prove to him I am worth something, and that I can make him proud. Doing anything with him is a privilege, an honor. Ever since I was a just a toddler trying to make it through the struggle of learning how to walk, I was pressured to know and do everything, but never was I able to actually do it. Finally being able to show my father I'm not another disappointment will be a miracle.
"Alright, alright!" I exclaim. He pumps his fist in the air with victory as the hot flames on his head burst with the power that flows through his dead veins.
"Yes! The world will be mine!" His shouts of confidence rumbles our small, delicate house. I give him a stern look. "I-I mean, the world will be ours!" A sigh escapes my lips as I repeat over and over inside my head the same exact thing: what am I getting myself into?
"Thana! THANA!" Panic and Pain quickly burst through the door. They're in their human bodies at the moment, which is only the case for certain occasions. "Thana! Don't go! Please don't go!" The two quickly wrap their arms around me and spill their tears on my black shirt as my dad sighs and slaps a hand to his face.
"We're gonna miss you!" Panic chokes.
"Okay, enough with the sob party! There's a car waiting for Thana, now let's hurry!" My dad demands. The two creatures contain their composure in an instant and quickly take my bags to the long, black car waiting in the middle of the city after each servant solutes and exclaims a "sir yes sir!" People gather around as children gaze in awe.
Everyone wants to go to Auradon. I mean, who wouldn't? The living conditions are just awful here in The Isle of the Lost where depressed retirees of evil live only to grow more and more hatred for their enemies. They'd be better off in the Underworld.
I jump up off the fragile wooden chair and walk to my bedroom. It's a small space with only a bed, a dresser, a candle, and a mirror. My eyes scan the room in search of anything I missed. Instead of finding an object, I found a feeling. I found the feeling of fear; True, raw fear. I was leaving my home I've been growing up in for 16 years. I'll be leaving Pain and Panic, the only true friends I ever had. My bed will stay it's simple pulled-up sheets and single pillow. My drawers always empty, and candle unlit. I turn around and stare at myself in the simple, round mirror. My mirror won't see the same, homely face of the struggling daughter of a god ever again.
A tear slips down my pale cheek as I observe myself. I try to find hope, but I only find fear. With the swift movement of my hand wiping off the single droplet, I turn on my heels and walk out of my room towards my father. He stands patiently near the open door that leads to the awaiting limo.
"Ready for world domination?" He asks. His huge, devilish grin widens with each said word.
"Yes, sir." I say, trying not to reveal what I'm feeling in my stomach.
"That's my girl." Oddly, like I've never seen before, his hair turns a much darker blue. It's an ominous and frightful change to his usual light, blue shade.
I return a forced grin and salute him before walking towards the open door of the limo. I feel the eyes of my father burn through the back of my neck, his gaze never leaving sight of his only hope for our future.

Um ok FIRST CHAPTER, YALL.
I'm so excited.
Sorry if it sucked
Sorry if it was the best first chapter ever (lol not sorry)
I plan on making the story very Disney-like instead of making it realistic. So I plan on no swearing, nothing too violent or serious, and yeah.
Look forward to more chapters coming soon!
