"Do you think I'm allowed to do this in here?" I ask Niamh. She turns her head around and gasps at the sight of a self-made, burning flame in my hand.
"I-I don't think so," she replies nervously. "Doesn't that count as magic?"
"Yeah, I guess you're right," I close my fist with a smirk on my face, knowing full well that making a flame does count as magic, and I was just trying to scare her.
Looks like it worked.
I rest my hand in my lap as I look around the room I've been assigned.
It's nothing like home; the pinks and purples and pastel greens splattered across the walls and carpets are foreign to me. Even the curtains have an ugly shade of yellow on them, and the cabinets are a light wood.
I huff in disgust before leaping off the bed and jumping into Nia's, next to her. She backs away shyly, leaving as much room as possible between us. I plant my chin onto my hand as my elbows rest on the comforter.
"So," I start, giving Nia my best fake smile. "What do you like to do for fun?" She looks at me like some kind of psycho, which I mentally take as a compliment, before sitting up. "Any tricks? Pranks? Maybe-"
Suddenly the door opens, and in walks Mal and Evie, both squealing with happiness. I groan and land face first into Nia's bed before allowing myself to roll off and onto the ground, bracing the impact.
*thud*
"Ouch," Mal says before quickly running over to help me up. I swat her hands away as I slowly stand up on my own. "Are you okay?" she asks, holding out her hands as I steady myself.
"Just peachy," I retort. I rub the top of my head where I hit it.
"Well good, because we can't have you feeling under the weather for the celebration dinner!" Evie screams. I sigh and cross my arms as she continues about the whole aspect of this stupid dinner thing. "All students from Auradon Prep are going to be there! Gah, I'm so excited!" She prances over to my bag and unzips it, pulling out all my clothes one by one.
"Hey! What-" I try to stop her from ruining all my semi-folded clothing.
"I'm just trying to find a nice dress for you to wear," Evie replies innocently.
I give a loud huff before saying, "good luck with that one."
After a minute of thorough searching, the Evil Queen's daughter soon realizes that I only packed all black shirts and pants- nothing without leg holes. She claps her hands and stands up, a weary smile on her face.
"That's okay!" she squeaks. "I have plenty that you can try on! Mal? Come with me, please, so we can choose some dresses these lovely girls can try on?"
Oh boy, I can't wait!!!
"Um, just excuse us for one moment," Mal says to Niamh and I nervously before quickly rushing out of the room and shutting the door closed.
Niamh and I look at each other and give a shrug before continuing with what we were doing prior to the two bubbly girls' entrance.

"Yes! This one is absolutely perfect!"
I groan at Evie and Mal's comments on the dresses they put on Niamh and I, which utterly disgust me. Who's bright idea was it to put me in a pink, fluffy gown? All I need is a wand and a bright, sparkly crown and I'm set to grant you three wishes.
Niamh looks in the mirror at her long, aqua blue gown that fits her nicely. She smiles a little as she turns around in front of the mirror. Evie continues telling her about how great she looks, and runs off to grab a pair of shoes.
"What do you think?" Mal asks me, her hands together as she jumps with joy.
I turn around and look at myself in the full body mirror. "Horrifying," is all I can mutter before stepping off the platform and snatching my previous outfit off of the nearby chair.
"Wait, where are you going?" Mal asks, rushing over to stop me from leaving the dressing room.
"I'm leaving," I snap, turning around to look at her with fierce eyes.
"But why? Is it the dress?" She asks softly. Her green eyes almost plead me to stay and not leave. "I know this is all new to you, and the pink might be a little too much, but maybe I can talk Evie into letting you wear something black?"
I sigh and look away for a moment.
I didn't come here to play dress up and eat at some fancy dinner, but if this means I'm able to get closer to achieving my plan, then I guess I'll go through with it.
"Fine," I agree. "But no pink."
Mal gives me a huge smile before dragging me back and explaining the whole situation to Evie, who makes me agree to her putting makeup on my face if I choose to stick with black, which I guess I can live with.

Sorry for such a long wait, guys. We took a break and later tried getting back into our account, but it wasn't letting us log in.
Anyway, the problem's been solved and now we can continue writing!
Enjoy the new chapter 😊
