Disgust thought that they had seen everything Dream Theatrical Studios had to offer, and wouldn't be starting the day with a brand new complaint towards the studio; yet, there they were.
What was up with them just reusing Bully Prime's character for every single one of the night's dreams? Did they try to imply that all of the dreams exist in the same Dream Cinematic Universe or something? That would be really low, even of them. It was one thing to reuse the same actor for every dream — which happened more times than it should have, which is zero — but to actually include the same character...
Ugh, the collapsing cities dream had to be the worst, however. There was Bully Prime, just tagging alongside Riley and Meg, almost wishing to create an apocalypse, and just pressing the detonation button, knowing that the world will be sent back millennia if she does, and Riley and Meg were just... completely powerless to stop her. It was almost as though she replaced a real character whose actor refused the role and ran away, or something.
To be fair, if Disgust were offered a Dream Theatrical Studios acting job, they would run away, too.
But that was behind them now. Riley just naturally woke up — minutes before the 7:00 AM alarm at that, giving her time to appreciate its song as another piece of life, rather than an immediate nuisance — and with that, the other emotions were jostled to alertness and ready to begin a brand new day with Riley, in which... something would happen.
Fear was the first to join Disgust for the day. "Alright! What are we doing today?" he asked.
"That's the thing: I don't know. I don't think Riley knows. Maybe her parents know, but I still don't feel comfortable talking to them." Disgust shot back.
"If what they know is that Riley should study Chinese all day long, then they can just go and know better," boomed Anger, whom Fear and Disgust had only noticed when he was already at the console.
"What? Of course not! She has to do her morning routine first!" Disgust retorted.
"Of course! Morning routine! Gotta shower, first, so that we're absolutely clean of any Chinese germs!" Fear excitedly called.
"And don't forget being absolutely dazzling." Disgust added.
All in all, the morning routine looked beautiful and the day was off to a good start — with one slight caveat.
"Do you think that someone else should be with us right now?" Fear asked.
"If you mean Sadness, then she is gone for good, and possibly for the better." Disgust shot back.
That, in turn, only slightly riled up Anger, who responded: "I don't think that's for the better, but whatever."
"No, I seriously mean I tried to think of what Sadness added to the mind, and every time I thought I came up with something, a new dream started. It was honestly ridiculous. You should have been there." Disgust said.
"Somehow, I think I know better than the mind with regard to this one." Anger responded, staying with his opinion.
Fear, on the other hand, suddenly felt grossly misunderstood, and had to speak up. "Actually, I think Joy is missing. And that might be the biggest problem yet! Who will lead us through the Chinese storm?" he suddenly shouted out.
Disgust only facepalmed to themself due to how obvious it should have been. "Ugh, right, of course. You two try not to mess things up too much for the shower, I'll go wake Joy up." they told the others, leaving the console.
They then went up on the catwalk where all the emotion rooms were. After that, they briefly glanced over the console, and thankfully, it looked like Anger and Fear were behaving themselves, so far. It was even somewhat beautiful, seeing Riley's operations from afar.
