The Doctor smiled to himself as a gushing river of thought swept through his mind. He was here. Here once more. Before the Time War, before the Timelords became barbaric warriors.. It was an unusually exceptional sight, a world that was not war-torn and destroyed. A world that once again maintained its peace with the universe. Of course, there were still fights, but nothing more than light skirmishes, in which they would nearly always defeat the Daleks. It really was just beautiful.. The snowy mountain ranges in the background gleamed, and as a seemingly impossible, more splendid sight, snow poured down upon the giant globe that was Arcadia.
The smile faded from his face as realisation struck. He could not enter, how could he possibly enter, knowing what will come. What he knew of everyone on the planet's future, had to remain secret.
"And if they knew, and changed the events to come, it could tear a hole in the fabric of reality, rupturing the laws of time itself, meaning what was to happen may never happen. They would then live in a parallel universe, a parallel Gallifrey. One of which may be safe. However, if the Timelords lived, how many more would have to die in their place?" He mumbled under his breath, "Time is complex.. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems, especially changing the past.."
He shook his head, feelings swelling up inside of him, "I can't stay.. I mustn't interfere..". A single tear dropped from beyond his glossy eyes as he turned around.
"I'm so.. so.. sorry.." He added as he slowly trudged down the slope, towards the TARDIS.
Suddenly, a giant gust of wind hits him, causing him to slightly stumble back. A sound erupts in his ears. The most familiar sound of all sounds. A TARDIS. His surroundings slowly fade and are engulfed by a large dimly lit room, as the wind stops.
A worrisome expression slides across his face as he stands in the centre of a TARDIS console room. A man, wearing large burgundy robes and a gold Timelord collar.
"DO NOT MOVE!!" He exclaimed, stepping forwards, armed with an Impluse Laser in his hand, "Identify yourself! We do not accept visitors here!"
"I'm The Doctor," The Doctor stated, a fake smile crossing his face.
