Chapter 9: I'm Pregnant.

Itzel

The following morning

I was awaken by the voice of my wonderful husband Silver. "Itzel, darling, wake up." I groaned, "Just five more minutes." I heard Silver chuckle, "Now, now Itzel, you remember what the docter said, why you must at least get up for breakfast." Oh yeah. Recently I'd been having these random symptoms from I don't know what. Doctor Thomas just told me to get plenty of rest, but must be up for breakfast. I sat up in the bed and rubbed my eyes. "That's more like it. I'll be right back with your food." He then kissed my forehead and walked out into the kitchen. I loved it when he brought me breakfast in bed. He started doing it when I had first gotten sick, which was only a week ago. At first we thought that it was just the flu, but then I realized that I'd been craving for certain foods and that it had been a month since I had my last period. I knew what my sickness was, but I was just really scared to tell him. It had been three weeks since our honeymoon. All of the symptoms were arrows, pointing to my sickness. For I, Itzel the Hedgehog, was pregnant with Silver the Hegdehog's child, or children. I was scared to death about it, but yet again, I was extremely excited. Silver came back into the room caring a silver tray, full of bacon, eggs, pancakes, and biscuits. My favorite. "Oh Silver, you've really outdone yourself haven't you." I cooed. He sheepishly smiled and scratched behind his ear. He looked so cute when he did that. After breakfast I laid back down and snuggled into Silver's soft chest fur. I thought about telling him. Alright here we go. I drew in a deep breath and said, "Hey Silv?" "Yes" he cooed. "I need to tell you something." He sat up and looked at me with caring eyes, "I'm listening." I cleared my throat. This is a lot harder than I thought. "Uh.. w-well.... I uh........ I'm pregnant." I sputtered. His face shifted into complete shock. "W-w-what?" I blushed madly and looked away, "I'm pregnant." He sat there in complete silence. In a matter of moments, I was suddenly scooped into a tight hug. I heard Silver's sobs in my neck. Awww. I petted his quills to help him relax. He only hugged me tighter.
