I jumped up off the couch when I heard Amy's scream. I ran into the room, seeing her sitting on the floor, her face in her hands. She was crying, her sobs muffled.

I walked up to her and crouched, hugging her tightly. I noticed a small photograph just across from us. I went to reach for it, but Amy snatched my hand back.

"Don't touch it." she whispered, her voice mean and serious. She released my hand, and I held her for a while, trying to look at the picture. I soon realized why she didn't want me to pick it up.

It was a photo of her and Sonic. ((The one above)) She was smiling, her eyes closed. He was looking at her, wearing that annoying smirk of his.

What really pissed me off was the fact that they were holding hands. I growled lowly, hoping she wouldn't hear. I wondered what happened and why they were together.

She sniffled, "That was when we were together, but that was last summer." I looked at her confused, and she sat up. "But, he dumped me the following week of when that picture was taken."

She sighed and pulled her knees up to her chest. "Thats why I screamed when I saw it." I looked at her, then glared at the picture.

I grabbed it and stood up, crumbling the picture in my hand. I then headed to the fireplace in the living-room. She followed behind me.

When we got to the fireplace, she quickly realized what I was doing and ran into the kitchen. When she came back, she was holding a bottle of gasoline and a match. She poured some of the gasoline on the firewood and lit the match.

She then threw the match on the gasoline drenched wood. The gasoline caught fire quickly. I then sat down and looked at the crumbled picture in my hand, then glanced up at the fire.

I tossed the picture into the fire and watched in amusement as it burned. Amy sat next to me, her head on my shoulder. I heard her whisper, "Thank you."
