After Sargent Parker hung up James headed for the airport. On the way his friend Cameron texted him asking where he was. James couldn't tell him the truth he had to lie. James told Cameron that he got home sick. When James finally arrived he got on the first plane back home to Nebraska. He wanted to see his parents one last time. He felt as if their death was because of him. If he hadn't gone to California his parents could still be alive. James knew that he couldn't do anything to bring them back but he felt like he had a debt to pay.
It was a six hour flight so James had plenty of time to think of who could have done this to his parents. The biggest thing that had stuck out to James was the ripping out of his fathers heart. That had to mean something. But what was it? What happened to James mother? He had to figure out why the killer did it. Was it a crime of panic, passion, or just opportunity? James had six hours to think about all of this. That is exactly what he did. Eventually he would have to figure at least one thing out. He would figure out why his parents were killed.
