James had finally landed back in Lincoln Nebraska, his home town. Chief Parker was waiting for him at the airport, Chief said he needed James to come with him. James walked out to Chief Parker's police issued Ford Mustang GT. Parker told James to get into the front. When they left the airport James asked Parker "what do you want from me?" Parker replied " I need to know everything you know about your parents private life, but wait till we get to the station". they reached the station and Chief Parker told James to go sit by his desk. Then Chief Parker disappeared into the break room. He came out ten minutes later with a cup of coffee in one hand and a Pepsi in the other. He told James "I just want to talk, I need to know everything so I can help find and bring down the bastard that did this to you and your parents. James was about to tell the Chief about the conversation he overheard his parent having when a man walked into the police station and started to shoot his AR-15 towards the Chief and James. The Chief threw James to the ground and pull out his gun. While Parker had the gunmen distracted James darted for the back door. When he got outside he got into the Chief's Mustang and tried to start it but it wouldn't budge. James kept trying and when he finally got the car to start he saw the door of the building begin to open he took off in the car fast as he could. All he saw in the rear view mirror was the gunman and his M-16. James didn't even want to think why somebody would want him and his family gone, all he wanted was to get away from whomever the hell is trying to kill him.
James had been driving for two hours and the car was running of fumes. He had to find a gas station soon or he would be walking. He kept driving until he saw a sign that said gas station next right. When James had finally reached the gas station he grab his wallet and cell phone from his luggage in the trunk. He went in and asked the clerk what town he was in. The clerk said " you're in Omaha son". James was relieved, he had finally gotten away from that crazy man who was trying to kill him. James payed for a full tank of gas and bought some food for the rest of his travel. James went back out to the car and filled the tank, then he got back into the Mustang GT and left. He didn't know where he was going he just needed to get away and find a place to stay for a while so he could think.
