Our Family Together - Finny X Reader

Chapter 4 - Here and gone

I lied on the hospital bed, in a hospital gown, waiting for my kids to be born. It has been five hours since we arrived. I was having bad contractions but the doctor said I wasn't ready yet, they let me stay in the hospital because I was close but not close enough.

Finny was sleeping on the chair next to me, holding my hand. I decided to go to sleep as well because it was already really late. Slowly my my eyes closed and I fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up my hand being squeezed, and my cheek getting kissed? I fluttered my eyes opened slowly and I saw Finny with his golden hair shining in the sun. I reached out toward his hair and ran my hand though it.

"How are you feeling?" Finny asked as he rubbed his thumb on my hand. I gave a happy sigh towards him.

"I'm feeling good, thanks for asking. But I could go into labor any minute now." I reply giving him a kiss.

"I can't wait to see our kids." Finny said happily. You let out a happy chuckle.

"Me too."

"Are you hungry?"

"Very hungry, I have to feed three people. Me, and these two babies." I replied rubbing my belly.

"Good, I brought you some food!" Finny exclaimed as he placed food in the table for me. My eyes sparkled.

"I knew I could count on you, thanks sweetie!"

Finny and I were resting happily in the hospital, then suddenly a gush of liquid came out and I started to freak out. Finny noticed it and he woke up too.

"Finny, go get the doctors." I said as I held into my stomach. He nodded and ran out of the room, the pain started and I knew that I was in labor.

The doctors and nurses soon piled up in the room and they gave me the sign to start pushing. I held onto Finny's hand tightly and shut my eyes, pushing along with the pain.

"You're doing great." Finny comforted as he pushed hair out of my face. I was breathing heavily, I was too exhausted to answer.

After pushing for five minutes I gave birth to my son. They took him away to check and clean him, I still had to keep pushing to give birth to my daughter.

"Her pulse is weakening." A doctor said as I continued to push. The pain was unbearable.

"Ugh!!" I yelled as more pain shot through my body. Finny squeezed my hand and he looked at me worried.

"You're almost there! A few more pushes and our daughter will be here with us." Finny wiped my sweat away from my forehead. He was right, just a few more and I won't have to do any more.

I continued to push as much as I could, but with each push, I felt myself drifting away. Just keep it up (F/N), you can do this.

"Her pulse is dropping doctor." A nurse said.

Just a few more, just a few..

I continued to push and push and finally, my daughter was born.

I looked over to Finny, and he looked super happy to see his daughter, but when he looked at me his look changed dramatically.

My view started going slow and blurry, what's happening?

"(F/N)? (F/N)!" His voice, faded.

Finny's P.O.V
"We're losing her!" A doctor shouted as they ran in and out of the room trying to help (F/N).

"(F/N)?!" I looked at the screen showing her pulse, it was quickly going down.

I held onto her hand looking around the room, I saw our babies resting in a corner of the room.

*BEEEEEEEEEEP*

I shot my head up and the line on the monitor was straight.

Straight?

Everything was slow and turned black and white.

I looked down at (F/N) and her head fell to the side, her shoulder supporting it. It looked as if she was sleeping but, we all knew that wasn't the case.

Her hand was limp in mine.

"Her pulse is gone!"

"Give her oxygen!"

"Where are the babies?"

Voices were distant, I wasn't focused anymore. Was I losing he love of my life? Somebody help me, help her!

Why is this happening?

SOO, I didn't name the babies yet. I will have my life figured out the next chapter, hopefully..

Shortish chapter, I wanted to keep the drama in this chapter.

This chapter is kinda very dramatic,
