Chapter 14 - Worth it

~Time skipped to the day before the wedding (not edited)~

Today was the day before Ciel's wedding, so all of us employees were running everywhere to get the manor prepped for the wedding. I was working on all of the paperwork and made sure everybody was on task and made sure everything was perfect.

Finny was in the garden making sure all of the flowers and the setting was beautiful and well placed.

"Wow, everything looks beautiful Finny!" I replied as I walked outside with my clipboard. I crouched down next to some roses and smelled them, it was so fresh. I notcied Finny was just standing there so I turned my head and looked at him. "What are you staring at me for?" I joked.

Finny smiles at me and crouches down next to me and looks at the roses. "You know, this is where I first fell in love with you."

My heart skipped a bit and I could feel the heat rushing to my face.

"R-really?"

"Yeah, you bent down and smelled the roses. All I remembered was how beautiful you were at that time. And how you smiled at me and admired my work. I knew I fell in love with you." Finny picked out a flower and he turned to you, holding the flower out. "Thanks for loving me."

You blushed and accepted the flower.

"Of course, thanks for giving me your love." I replied with a smile. I leaned forward and gave his cheek a kiss before standing up. "Well, I'll see you soon love. I have to get going to check on Mey-Rin."

"Okay, see you soon." Finny watched as you walked back into the manor and he smiled to himself.

"Mey-Rin! How are the tables going?" I asked as I walked up to her, she jumped but gained her posture when she realized it was just me. "Sorry, I didn't think I would scare you."

"No, that is fine. It really is, but the tables are going surprisingly well, yes they are!" I looked behind her and noticed that all of the tables were nicely set and had beautiful decor on them.

"Wow, the tables look amazing! You're doing great!" I complimented, nudging her arm. She smiled at me. "Well, I must be going, I have other things to cross out in my list. Have fun!"

I waved goodbye to Mey-Rin and I walked toward the kitchen to see what Bard was doing. There were a few small cakes on the table that surprising looked really good.

"Try some (F/N)! Those are my test cakes, what do you think?" Bard said as I cut a piece of cake and popped it into my mouth. My eyes widened in surprise and I gave him a high five.

"These are really amazing!" I exclaimed as I popped another piece of cake into my mouth. "How's the wedding cake going by the way?"

"It's getting there, three layers all done! Now I just have to pipe and frost the cake to get it ready for tomorrow."

"Keep up the good work, the cake will look beautiful!"

"Thanks (F/N), oh by the way, I think Ciel wanted to see you in his study too."

"Alright, thank you!" I walked up the stairs to Ciel's manor and when I was in front of his study, I knocked on the door and waited for him to let me in.

"Come in." I opened the door and shut it behind me.

"You wanted to see me?"

"Yeah," Ciel was facing the window to the garden with his hands behind his back. "I'm nervous."

"Nervous? Nervous for he wedding?" I asked as I walked next to him. I looked at him and I saw that he was pursing his lips. "You'll be okay, it'll be one of he greatest things in life."

"Is it?" Ciel looked at me and I smiled.

"Of course! It's a bond that you share with the person you love he most, how is that not amazing."

"I guess you're right, I'm just nervous that I'm actually marrying Lizzy I guess."

"You'll be fine, Finny and I are doing perfectly fine. We even has kids, you might have kids of your own someday!" I joke at Ciel. He looked at me with his eyes widened and his mouth was wide open.

*SLAM*
Ciel kicked me out of his room.

I laughed to myself and walked to the nursery where Caleb and lily were sleeping. They were sleeping contentedly and looked all cute in their onesies. I kissed their cheek and quietly closed the door behind me as I continued to make sure everything was perfect.

Yes, one more chapter and it will be the end of the book. I might post little extra chapters after the book is over though :)
