The Billionaire's Secretary!

Chapter Three

I was on my way to the diner to quit my job. But I had no idea how to do it. I mean Jack gave me a chance to work when nobody else would so it's hard even though he asks me out all the time.

I parked my car and got out my car with me purse in hand. I walk into the restaurant and see Serena, who to my dismay looked a mess today. But I had no time to understand her since she does not like me. I walk to the back of the restaurant looking for Jack. But he was not in his usual office. I walk all around the store and I could not find him. So I give one last shot at the office to find him or else I would have left him a note saying "Call me we need to talk." But I found him in his office, this time. He was typing something up. I knock on his door. He looks at me.

"Hey Jack, How are you?" Jack looked at me with confusion.
"I'm good. I'm wondering why you're here though? You never come in unless it's your shift? Or are you finally here to accept my date offers." He said all excited.
" No unfortunately it's not that Jack. Sorry, but I came here today to tell you that I quit...." I said with a straight face.
Jack stood up with a mad face.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU QUIT!?" He said walking towards me.
" I mean I can't work here anymore. I got offered a better job that pays Better and I get benefits. This job isn't cutting it for me anymore, Jack." I said.
He was still mad but he changed his posture and face all in a quick minute to sadness.
" Katerina you can't quit on me, I need you. You're one of my best employees. I know pay sucks and there's no benefits but you can't quit." He said sadly.
"I'm sorry Jack but I can't stay either. It's not helping me and Kat. So here is me quitting. I'm sorry... But Bye." I was walking out of his office when I saw him coming after me. " KATERINA WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" I looked back surprised. He was yelling at me in front of all his customers. "What...?" I said staring at him. " YOU ARE NOT GONNA QUIT THIS DAMN JOB! You are staying here because you signed a contract for 2 years!" I almost forgot about that contract! Damn it! He was coming toward me.

Ugh just hit me with a lighting bulb already. I said in my head.

I didn't know what to do. What I didn't know either was that Mr.Edwards and John where just walking in the restaurant to have lunch and they heard all the yelling. I look at them. John saw my face and he had no emotion shown on his face.

Jack started yelling at me again "IF YOU DECIDE TO WALK OUT THAT DOOR I WILL TAKE YOU TO COURT KATERINA JONES!" I couldn't believe what he just said. I can't go to court. I was trying to figure things out, when all of a sudden I hear John's voice.

"Jack what the hell is going on in here? Why are you yelling at her in front of all these customers?!" Jack looked at John. "Mr. Jones nice to see you again sir! I'm sorry about all the commotion but this young lady named Katerina, works for me and she wants to quit on me. But she has the two year contract with us" he said.

John looked at him angered " Jack let me tell you something." He said walking up to him, Irritated.
"You work for me! And if you even think about yelling at an employee in my restaurant in front of my customers! I will fire you! Do you understand that?!" John said pissed off. Jack looked like he just pissed his pants and I was shocked as hell because I did not know John owned this restaurant.

"Now this young lady Katerina, I have met before! She is here to quit her job since she will be working for me now. So she has not broken her 2 year contract with ME! That will be transferred to me! And I will get rid of that contract because I will have her new contract! Do you understand me Jack?! Oh, and if you ever threaten an employee about taking them to court! I will have you fired and sued!"  He said closely to Jack. " Yes, Sir" Jack said like a sad puppy but a little angered.

"Now, go back to doing your job. Or I will fire you!" Jack went to his office. I stood there still shocked at what just happened. Mr.Edwards spoke this time

"Kat, Are you okay? He didn't harm you right?" Mr.Edwards said with sincerity in his eyes. I finally got out of my shocked mode and responded.

" Yes...Sir..I'm all...fi..ne. I'm just shocked. I'm sorry!" I said almost crying.
"It's okay, sweetie. Don't Cry. It's all fine." Mr.Edwards said looking at me. John walked up to me.
" Katerina, it's okay. Just go home and I will see you tomorrow at 8. Don't worry." He said. I looked at him trying to figure out what just happened. I was walking out when Mr.Edwards said "Drive safely, Dear!" I looked back at him and said thank you!

I was home already. I was tired and my makeup was every where. I was crying all the way home from the restaurant because I couldn't believe that just happened. What just happened? I get out of my car. Not realizing that Isa was already home. I open the front door to the house and I hear the TV on. I try to wipe my eyes before anybody saw them.
"Hey Kat! How did it go?! Did you get the job Sis?" Isa said still looking at the TV.
"Yes, I did. I start tomorrow at 8 am." I said trying to sound normal. "Ana will be here in a few to take us out to celebrate so go get ready when you can, okay?" I was halfway up the stairs when she yelled back "Okay! Awesome, I'll put on that dress you bought me last week."
"Okay sounds good." Was all I said.

Once I got in my room I tried not to cry any more and thought more about our plans for the night. So I jumped in the shower and got ready for the night. Once I was ready. I heard the doorbell ring.

Isa yelled " Ana is here! Come on! Let's go Kat!" She said all eagerly.

"Yeah Kat lets go! I'm starving!" Ana yelled back.

"I'm going Mothers!" I yelled at both at them,smiling. I heard laughing from downstairs. I grabbed my clutch off my stand and headed downstairs. " Okay, Let's go get dinner Then!" I said on my way out. I was Praying In my head that it's a better night than my day so far...

I'm sorry I haven't published since June. But I thought these book sucked and nobody liked it so I had no motivation to keep writing it. Until I had people asking me to publish a new chapter so thank you! That means a lot to me! I hope you like this chapter! The next one will be better! I will post the next chapter on my birthday next week!
