Chapter 9

Katerina's POV

•BEEP BEEP BEEP•

My alarm kept beeping and I just wanted it to shut up! I didn't get much sleep last night thanks to my brain and my late night thoughts.
I turn off my alarm and head to the shower. After I'm done showering I put on some shorts and a tank top before getting ready for work. I seat down by my little white desk and start putting makeup on my face for the day. I'm going light today a little blush and foundation and a hint of eyeliner, with a light pink lipstick. There that'll do it. I get up and go to wake up Isa before she's late for school today.

"Isa, baby wake up. I know you're tired but you can't miss school." I said lightly nudging her. She didn't get up.
My next thing to do to wake her up is to jump in her bed until she gets up. So I slowly get on top of her bed and count to three.
"One...two...three!" I start jumping as high as I can.
"KAT! Come on! Get off, let me sleep for another hour or so please." She said tiredly.
I stop jumping and seat down at the corner of her bed.
"As much as I want to do that, Isa. I can't let you do that. Because for one, I'll be late to work, two, you'll miss out on your test today. And three it's one more day of school. Then you have two days off. All to you. And tomorrow it's me and yo day before I leave. Okay?" I lay my hand on her thigh.
Isa slowly starts showing me the best smile ever.
"Fine. Fine. Fine. Only because I love you and I can't wait for tomorrow." She said happily making her way out of bed.
" Haha I love you too. I'm going to make breakfast quick and then finish getting ready. Make sure your done before me and to eat breakfast!" I said on my way to the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen I start making scrambled eggs and waffles. Chocolate chip waffles, Isa's favorite! Also, bacon. Even though the oil pops like hell, I still make it because hey who doesn't love bacon! Once I'm done with the cooking, I make a fresh pitcher of squeezed orange juice.
I seat down and eat my breakfast.
A couple minutes later, I'm done so I wash my dishes and finish getting ready.
Today my hair is up, in a nice hair do. As I'm rummaging thru my closet I was starting to get frustrated because I couldn't find anything to wear. Until o reached the very back, there was a white dress with a cardigan like top. I forgot all about this dress. I felt like it was to short for me. But today it looks like something I will be wearing. I pull it out of the back and put it on.
I put on some goldish heels with it.
I am all done getting ready, so I grab my bags and I head to the kitchen. Time to leave and take Isa to school before she is late.

"DAMN KAT! Why are you looking so fine today?!" Isa exclaimed in excitement.
She scared me for a bit!
"Jesus Isa! I almost had a heart attack!" I said with my hand over my heart, what's wrong with my outfit? Is it too much? I wondered.
"Im Sorry, sis, it's just that you like nice." Isa said apologetically.
"Haha it's okay. Thank you! It's just that it's Friday. Plus I couldn't find anything nice to wear, I wanna look presentable for your nanny." I said grabbing my bags off the couch again.

"I think you'll be presentable to a lot people, not only the nanny" Isa said winking at me.

I was confused at first until I understood.

"Oh come on, Isa. Hahaha! Let's go before we are both late!" I said walking out of the apartment.
Isa followed shortly.
It was 7:30.
I dropped her off at school early, so I guess today I will be at the office early.

As I arrive to the office. I park in my designated parking spot and head into the building.
I pass Hilary, who I found it is the receptionist. She snobbish that's why she acts like she's higher then everybody else. I don't pay much attention to her. I head up to my office.
The elevator doors open, I walk out and head to my office.
I wonder if John is here yet? I should make sure to get him some coffee.
Once I set my things down. I turn my computer on. I'm going to let it start up while I go get coffee.
I walk towards the elevator and ride down to the cafeteria. I grab coffee for me and John as we will both be needing it today. Due to the fact that's it's a much of meetings that we will both be in today.
Once I grab the coffees I head back up to my office.
I set the my coffee down by my computer and knock on Mr. Edwards door.
I hear a low "Come in"
I twist the know with one hand and head into his office.
