After Gold drove off in her car, Harry drove out in a different direction. He was in deep agony because of what Gold had just said. He kept driving through the streets aimlessly. He even didn't notice which way he was going. After driving for some time, he stopped at the docklands. It was the very same place from where RMS Titanic had sailed off from Southampton. He got out of the car and walked towards the end of the dock. Harry shoved his hands deep into his pockets. He stared at the sea. May be his love for Gold will sink as the unfortunate ship, Titanic with the passage of time. Harry wasn't quite sure about what he was feeling at the moment. He felt somewhat defeated.
'May be she is the one you cannot have,' the words that he had heard earlier rang in his ears.
'Why the hell I can't have her?' Harry cried out loudly.
'Out of all people in this world, why do I love only Gold?' Harry mumbled. He realized the vanity of his question.
Harry felt tears stinging in his eyes.
'I guess that's all that I can do. Cry over Gold alone,' Harry let his pain flow out as the tears rolled down his cheeks.
Harry stood there like that for some time. He felt empty and alone. He let the tears dry on his face as he didn't feel like wiping them off. He squared his shoulders and walked back to his car. He settled in the driver's seat. His phone was beeping. He had three missed calls from his mother and four from Gold. He called his mother up.
'Where are you, Harry? I'm so worried about you,' Anne's voice filtered through the phone.
'I'm at the docks, mum,' Harry replied curtly.
'At the docks? What are you doing there?' Anne almost shouted. She was apparently worried about her only son.
'Nothing in particular. I was just standing there,' Harry answered as if it was the most common thing to do in the world.
'Alright. When are you coming back home?' Anne asked, a little more calmly this time.
'I'm in the car now. I'll be back in a few minutes. Don't worry so much about me, mum,' Harry said and hung up the call before Anne could ask him something else.
Anne wanted to know what had happened to Harry but she stopped herself from asking anything to him. She sensed that something was wrong but she couldn't put her finger on it.
'Did Harry and Gold have a fight? God only knows what put the boy in such a bad mood. He never talks to me like that,' Anne wondered.
Harry forgot to call Gold after he talked to his mother. It somehow slipped out of his mind that he'd to call Gold, too. He pulled in his driveway after a while, parked his car in the garage and briskly walked towards his house. Just as he was unlocking the door, he remembered that he'd totally forgotten to call or text Gold.
'Damn it. She must be furious,' Harry mentally kicked himself.
'Hey, mum,' Harry said as he walked in the living room, dialling Gold's number as fast as he could.
Anne was watching an old episode of Doctor Who. She cast a glance at Harry and noticed that he was looking very tired and worn out. She postponed the various questions that she had for her son till the morning. She nodded at Harry and was about to speak up when Harry held up his hand for her to wait.
'Hey, Gold. You had called,' Harry tried his best to sound casual.
'Oh, Harold! Where have you been? I was worried to death about you. I've called you so many times in the past hour but His Highness never bothered to pick up the phone. How very kind of you, my dear lord, to finally call me back,' Gold fired at Harry without giving him a chance to say anything.
