Chapter 12

Hey guys, sorry i haven't updated! It's because we ran out of internet, yes, we have limited internet and if we use too much then it goes out so this can happen for this month as well i'm just saying so you guys know!

Clove's pov

I turned around to see Cato. We are standing in the middle of the hallway right now and it's dead quiet out here.

"What was what all about?" I asked back. Slightly confused.

"You know what i'm talking about!" He said impatiently.

Ohhh."Well, i don't see anything wrong with compliments and small talks with my ally." I said calmly.

"That was something more than just small talks. He was practically flirting with you if you haven't notice it." He hissed.

"And why do you care?" You and Glimmer seems to be almost getting married." I snapped back. I said just friends so why does he has to bother?

"Because i still love you!! I-i already told you so many times and still you don't understand? I love you Clove and no matter what you see about me and Glimmer its to keep your dame live! I'm out here trying to get sponsors Clove!!!Be smart!!!" he shouted.

"Even you and me were an act wasn't it? How am i suppose to believe you when you're lying to her? That can easily be me!" I said quietly, not trying to make a big deal of this.

And with that i walked off. I try to force myself  to believe him so hard but i can't. He likes Glimmer now and she is gorgeous so he wouldn't still be in love with me right? Right?! Whatever he's just really confusing me right now! I shrugged the thought off and pressed the elevator. I went in and i felt a bit creeped out since nobody is here, and so i felt paranoid and jog the rest of my way to our apartment. When i reached our apartment i was kind of tired so i rest by the couch for 15-20 minutes until i noticed that it is 2:52pm. Which is really close to my personal evaluation time! Shoot i need to go! But D1 has to go first anyways so no rush.

I just walked calmly towards the elevator, no paranoia now, its taken over by nervousness. I stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the Training Centre. I waited outside on the benches they have arranged for us. It's kind of crowded there already. Almost everybody is here. Except for District 5,7,8 and 10. After 3-5 minutes later everybody was here and has settled down. I'm kind of nervous and my hands are shaky. And i'm sitting really close to Cato. Which makes it more awkward and nervous since everybody else is talking with their district partner.

I try my best to not look over to Cato but it happened anyway. So i took one slight glance at him and i noticed he was kind of tensed up. He's a little sweaty and he looks like he's thinking hard about something. And then he looked over to me and we had our eyes locked. And i couldn't look away from his ice blue eyes. It was mesmerizing. His eyes were so beautiful but i couldn't look through them. He was thinking about something but i couldn't figure out what it was. We broke the eye contact when we heard the robotic voice calling out Glimmer Hills.

I start to think about everything i've trained. Knives of course, fire making, traps and maybe i can try out the spears. I have been practicing spears a bit. But thats more of Marvel's thing. Glimmer went back out about 15 minutes later and hugged Cato, saying that he will do well and stuff and then walked out the door. I swear i saw Cato rolling his eyes afterwards. He should be. Ugh, just the thought of her makes me gag!

I kind of been tuning in and out until i feel someone knudging me and i snapped out of my trance. Oh, my name has been called. Great! I thought, now i will have to prove to them that i'm skilled, easy right? Right?!
