Chapter 2 The Journey

      “So just follow the Checkered Road, hmm…” I whispered to myself.

I was walking down the road which leads to the woods.

“Okay then…” I thought.

But I almost forgot about the enemies,” Look out for the killer dolls, and Tee and Lee.” I remembered.

“I got to keep a lookout for them; I never knew if they will sneak past me and soon or later slit my throat or something terrible like that.” I thought.

The forest was creepy, quiet, and dark; it was like trap in a cage with the darkness; till I ran up on a sign that says “Forest of Wisdom.”

“Forest of Wisdom?” As I said while walking to find a way out.

Then I remembered something what one of my uncles taught me, listen to the vibrations of the living things. I focus, listening to the sound waves, and then suddenly I feel a shake.

“Who’s there?” I ask.

It was quiet; till I hear a laugh an Evil laugh…

“I SAID WHO’S THERE!” I shouted.

The shadow got dense, but I can somewhat see the person.

“A Killer doll?!” I thought.

The  doll was getting closer and closer, holding a needle and a knife.

“The Blood Queen would love to dine on your flesh.” It said with an evil voice.

“No!”

I tried to fight the doll, but the doll almost stabs me with her needle, but luckily I blocked it.

Then she pulled another hand out of her back and stabs my hand, at first I was freaked out, but I got so angry that I killed the doll by stabbing it in the head. You can hear her gasping for air, I was shocked.

“Odd, very odd…” I said.

I continued to follow the road, I was alone, scared, somewhat full of sorrow.

“I do miss my family and friends.”

I saw a bright light that leads me to freedom, so I ran and ran till I can see the lake and the bright side of the road, but something was blocking it though. It was my old Elementary School.

“WHAT ON EARTH?” I said to myself.

“Now, Now, don’t be sad like I am.” Says a strange voice.

“Who are you?” I ask.

Behind me was a little beagle, except has the same eye patch as Elena has except only the opposite eye.

“Who am I? Who are you? You may concern.” He said.

“I’m Lina, and who are you?” I asked again.

He sighed, “I’m Dane the talking dog that knows where to go in that school, and the Forest of Wisdom. Hmm… something tells me you’re looking for your past, like I once had, but now since the Blood Queen took over. There’s nothing left.”  I was kind of sad, and shocked that he knew that I was looking for my destiny.

“Umm… Yes… but can you help me though?” I asked.

“I surely couldn’t, but I guess.” He said sadly.

I walk in through the doors, quietly. Everything that I remember is in the hallways, the lockers, and the lights, which were flickering on and off. Behind us was the closed door, then it starting to rain.

“Beautiful isn’t it?” Dane asks.

“Surly yes…” I said shockingly.

Suddenly the doors close.

“You're ready?” he asks.

“Yes”

We were walking down the hallways, lights starting to shut off.

“What on…?” I said.

“Nothing just the storm I don’t sense any trouble.” Dane said.

“Lina, Welcome to Room 201.”
