Chapter 2 ~ Ice Skating

Mari and I walked out of the old pizzeria and headed out to Main Street square to go ice skating. I hopped into my car and started it. The vents filled the car with warm air as I pulled out of the parking lot. Mari looked at me
"What" I said laughing a little snapping him out of his trance.
"I love you (y/n)" Mari said
"I love you too" I replied looking back to the road. Mari watched the snowflakes fall to the ground and rested his head on the window. I smiled to myself at how much Mari was enjoying this. He was only a child, which made it more cute. I reached the ice skating rink and pulled into the parking garage. I parked my car on the top floor and got out. Mari climbed out and walked over to the edge of the parking garage.
"Wow we are high up" he said, I smiled and gave Mari a kiss. "I love you (y/n)"
"I love you to Marion" I replied and I started to walk down the stairs to Main Street Square. Mari followed close behind and reached out for my hand. I grabbed it and intertwined our fingers. I smiled and we reached a small cabin like place filled with ice skates.
"Hello miss will it be just the two of you" he said (he has the voice like the wandering Oakens dude from frozen)
"Yes" I replied grabbing out my wallet
"What sizes do you need" he asked as I was taking the money, I handed it to him.
"6 for me and 8 for him" I said (you may change it if you want)
"Here you go" the man said handing me the blue and white skates. I walked over to the padded area and grabbed the neon green bracelets from inside the skates.
"What are those for" Mari asked
"We have to put these on so they know we payed" I replied slipping on the paper. I put on Mari's bracelet and handed him his skates
"I am not sure how to put these on" Mari said a little irritated
"Don't worry I'll show you" I giggled taking off my shoes. I undid the lacing on the front of the skates and Mari did the same. I slipped my feet in the shoe and tightened the laces. I tied the laces into a bow and tucked them into the skate. Mari repeated and stood up, I stood up quickly knowing Mari would loose balance. Mari started to wobble and I grabbed his arms we both laughed a little.
"Ready" I asked
"Ready" Mari replied and I opened the gate that led to the ice. I walked onto the rink and Mari followed.
"I don't know how to ice skate" Mari said
"Here follow me" I started to sway left and right lifting up my feet making me move forward. Mari did the same but he wasn't as graceful. I giggled at how slow he was, Mari reminds me of me when I first started skating slow and clumsy.
"What don't laugh at me" Mari said
"Don't worry everyone isn't very good when they first start" I replied and Mari nodded. I stood in place until Mari reached me. I started to skate holding Mari's hand as I pushed along. Mari was starting to get the hang of this he was more fluent.
"See your getting better" I said and Mari nodded blushing. "Hold on to my waist" I said getting an idea
"Okay" Mari said wrapping his arms around my waist. I started to skate slowly at first but then I sped up. Mari let go and was skating right next to me.
"You're doing it" I said cheerfully and Mari got jumpy
"I am" he said we skates around for a while. I started to get really cold and Mari's nose became red
"I think we should get something warm to eat" I said Mari nodded his head violently as I opened the ice skating gate.
"Yep" he said and I took of my skates and put my cream booties back on.
"Let's go to Starbucks" I said and Mari cocked his head to the side. "It's a really good coffee shop" I said already knowing Mari didn't know what Starbucks was
"Let's go" he said and we walked down the side walk
