Chapter 4 ~ Airport

I woke up to my alarm clock. Today was the day we would go to Seattle. I saw Mari slowly waking up.
"Can we sleep for a little longer" Mari asked
"No but you can sleep on the plane and go change into something comfy you'll need it" I told Mari
"Okay" he said and walked into the closet. I chuckled and walked downstairs getting a small breakfast. I ate some cereal and Mari came downstairs. I smiled and stood up
"You ready do you want breakfast" I asked
"Uh sure" Mari said and I poured him a bowl of cereal, while Mari was eating I went and changed. I threw on a sweatshirt and black leggings. I pulled my hair up into a ponytail and put on my converses. I walked out and grabbed our suitcases and put them by the door. I turned on the TV and started the cartoons and turned everything else in the house off. Thunder came downstairs barking happily

"No Thunder I'm sorry you can't come with us" I said patting his head, Mari giggled and watched Thunder yipp and yapp running around the house. Soon a purple car pulled into our driveway, Vincent was dropping us off at the airport. He hadn't murdered anybody recently so Mari was a lot less scared of him. 

"Come on Vincent is here" I said as a knock came to the door "Come in" I shouted frantically running around trying to find my carry on

"Hey are you ready to go" Vincent asked shutting the door behind him

"Yeah hold on" I said finally finding my carry on in the extra bedroom 

"Yup" Mari said cheerfully throwing on his carry on. He had a black backpack filled with stuff to do and his IPad. I grabbed my camera and threw it into my bag and we headed out the door

"I'm excited" Mari said as Vincent started the car. We drove off and Mari became really bouncy

"Wow your still just as bubbly as when you were a kid" Vincent said under his breath

"What was that" I asked leaning my head towards the front of the car

"Nothing" Vincent said and he drove faster

"Oo I can't wait" Mari said bouncing up and down in his seat

"I can't wait either but you have to settle down" I said putting my hand on Mari's shoulder, he nodded and looked out the window

"Okay" he said

"Hey don't let that crash your party still be exited you just might distract Vincent and he might crash the car" I said Mari nodded and began to bounce up and down again but this time less violently. I chuckled and soon we pulled into the airport parking lot and Mari almost exploded

"Marion calm your pits" I said laughing and Mari giggled too

"Is this your first time on a plane" Vincent asked

"Yeah" Mari said 

"Cool I can tell you it is a lot of fun" Vincent said, I smiled they were finally getting along. In the past few months they were at each others throat. I opened my car door and grabbed my suitcase out of the back of the car. I  extended the handle and Mari grabbed his suitcase and extended his handle

"Bye" Mari said waving

"Bye" Vincent said and he drove off.

"Okay so we have to get our suitcases checked in then go through security" I said grabbing an envelope full of plane tickets. I walked inside the revolving doors and into the airport and walked into the line that said  DELTA. I stood in line with a number of people and opened the envelope. I pulled out the tickets and read them

First Class to Salt Lake City, Utah

My jaw dropped Jazzy had been nice enough to get us first class seats! I put the tickets back into the envelope and walked up to the lady at the station in line.

"How many bags" the lady asked enthusiastically

"Two" I replied grabbing my suitcase and moving it revealing Mari

"Okay I just need to see your tickets ma'am" She said

"Okay" I replied handing her the tickets. She nodded and grabbed our bags checking them in and handing us our tickets. "Thank you" I said

"No problem" She replied and we walked off

"Where to next" Mari asked

"We need to go through security and get to our gate" I said 

"Okee dokie" Mari said and we walked over to an escalator and rode up. Soon we came to a big hustle and bustle of people getting security scans and their carry ons checked.

"Okay ma'am right this way and you do not have to take your shoes off" A man said and I threw my bag into a plastic box and walking through a big metal detector. Once we were through we grabbed our carry ons and headed to our gate.

"That was hectic" Mari said and I nodded in agreement

"So we are going to our gate and we will hang out there" I said

"Okay" Mari said "Honestly I thought we would just get on a plane and go, no security and no waiting" Mari said

"Yeah that is how it used to be until people started to bomb planes" I said and Mari's expression changed

"People bomb planes" he said

"Yeah" I said "They do, anyway this is our gate" I said pointing to gate 4

"Yay" Mari said and we walked over to the gate 

Time Skip to Boarding the Plane

Mari and I waited in the gate for a half an hour before they started to board. Mari fell asleep on my shoulder and slept peacefully.

"Now boarding first class priority members" a man said loudly over the speakers waking Mari up.

"Come on that's our cue" I said getting up and walking to the boarding station.

"I'm nervous" Mari said

"Why just a second ago you were bounding with excitement" I said as we walked down the hall

"Well that was before I knew people bombed planes" Mari replied shivering a little

"Air travel is the safest way of travel and no bombs get through security" I said stopping at the entrance of the plane. A flight attendant stood in the doorway along  with the pilot greeting everyone with a smile. We walked onto the plane and I looked at the fist class seats. I never really took a long look at first class seats on an air plane because I knew that I would never be sitting here. There was big comfy seats and in flight entertainment. I sat down in my seat and gasped, these were so comfy. Mari sat down next to me and sighed.
