Tessies P.O.V

My head spun and I groaned as I felt bile rise in my throat. I swallowed it back and took calming breaths, willing my eyes to open. When they did I regretted it, I was in a dark room, faint shapes around me causing my imagination to run wild. I cried out and tried to stand but my feet were tied to the legs of a chair and my hands were tied behind me.

"Hello?" I sobbed, attempting to wriggle my hands free from their restraints. "Please, anyone? Help me!" I cried.

The room was suddenly filled with light and I slammed my eyes shut, crying out in shock."Don't panic, pretty." A deep voice hushed. I opened my eyes to see a small but well built man before me, he had dull grey eyes and fiery orange hair. "I'm not going to hurt you, sweetheart." He placed a hand on my knee and a sob escaped my lips. "You're just bait."

"Please, just let me go." Tears were running down my face now and I looked at him, pleading.

"Your boyfriend killed my friend, now I'm gunna kill him."

"I don't have a..." Caleb, could they mean Caleb?

"Caleb? He killed someone?"

"No, I did."

Stephens P.O.V

She was crying and he placed a hand on her knee. I pushed the dead were to the side and peered further around the door frame. "You're just bait." He told her, I gritted my teeth.

Sick bastards.

She begged for them to release her. "Your boyfriend killed my friend, now I'm gunna kill him."

"I don't have a..." She looked at the small man, recognition in her eyes. "Caleb? He killed someone?"

Oh no, I wasn't going to let a were claim my kill. "No," I came into the room and pointed the gun at his head. "I did."

"Stephen?" Tessie gasped, eyes wide with fear.

"Let her go, gingey. And you won't end up like your friends." He growled and I stepped closer to him, pressing down slightly on the trigger. "Let her go!" I yelled. He hissed. I took aim and pressed the trigger.

Tessies P.O.V

I screamed as the bullet exploded from the gun. The small man moved, the bullet smashing into his upper arm. He cried out and threw himself at Stephen. "Help!" I screamed, hoping anyone would hear. Stephen rolled, dodging the first attack, and once on his back kicked out his legs as the man threw himself at him again. His feet hit his chest, sending him backwards. Stephen took another shot, hitting gingey in the thigh. He went down screaming obscenities.

"Hold still now." Stephen muttered, pressing the gun to the fallen mans forehead. Suddenly a fist came out of nowhere, colliding with Stephens face. My boss fell to the ground, unconscious.

"Caleb!" I cried, wriggling so much that the chair toppled backwards. I cried out in surprise and then it all went black.

Calebs P.O.V

I caught her chair before it toppled over and steadied her. She fainted, I ran my hand across her cheek and my fingertips tingled at the contact. "I've got you, baby." I whispered. I heard a grunt and turned to see the short were crawling toward Stephen. I growled and he stopped. "You kidnapped my mate, you little shit." I hissed, stalking towards him.

"A simple misunderstanding, friend." He whimpered.

I snarled. "Do not call me friend." I shot towards him and, kneeling down, I stuck my thumb into the wound in his arm. He screamed and thrashed but I held him in place.
