Chapter 11:

I walked in the debriefing room and froze when I saw Crys sitting in her normal seat, her green eyes lit up when she glanced at my direction, "Hey Weirdo, you act like you have seen a ghost," She grinned, I blinked a few times then I walked over and sat next to her, "I am," I said as I poked her stomach. "I'm not dead moron," She smacked my hand away, 'You looked like you was,' I thought to myself, I smiled small, "Its good to have you back." I said as I leaned back in my chair, "Its good to be back, I hate the infirmary." She mumbled as she crossed her arms. I chuckled small and leaned back in my chair as Tony walked in.
Tony Stark stopped in front of the holographic screen and pulled up a picture of a small ball shape device, "This is a time travelling device, it can send you anywhere through time. We believe Kingpin is after it," He explained, Crys raised a brow in confusion, "Why would he need a device to go back in time?" She asked curiosity, I couldn't help it, "Maybe he wants to go back to the time where he was skinny, which would be his toddlers years." I joked, earning a glare from Crys and a chuckle from Tony. "Whatever his reasons it can't be good," Tony said, someone moved behind him in the shadows, causing me to glance behind him.

I groaned slightly when I saw Deadpool in the back wearing a S.H.I.E.L.D uniform over his suit. Crys shot me a confused look but I ignored it, "I need to figure out why he is after it, in the mean time keep the device safe." Tony ordered, grabbing the device from the box and tossed it to me, I caught it easily, rubbing my thumb against the cold metal. "Dismiss." Tony commanded and walked out.

I quickly walked out of the debriefing room and down the hall, "Peter!" A familiar voice called, I looked over my shoulder at Crys as she jogged up to me. "What's up?" I asked, slowing down to let her fall into step with me, "You alright? You been on edge ever since the Fisk mission, did he say anything to you?" She asked, a hint of concern in her voice.

Flashback:

"If everything goes according to plan then we will have your device," He said to the person on the phone, "The question I require is what can you do for me?" He asked, sitting down on his chair, I could hear the chair crying for help, he was silent for a moment before his lips formed a big grin, "Very well, talk to you soon, Mr. Osborn."

End of flashback.

I shook my head, "No, everything is fine," I reassured, glancing at the device. Crys studied my face but kept quiet, "I got to go, see you later Crys," I said quickly, turning a corner and darting down the hall.

After I dropped the device off at my room I decided to go for a swing. I ran off the building and jumped off the edge, falling straight to the concrete ground, I waited for the right moment then I held my arm out and shot a string of webbing, in seconds it hit its target. I swung past cars and citizens, I let go of my web when I reached its peak.

I flipped in the air and went to fire another web but I felt something slimy wrap around my ankle and jerk me to the ground. I slammed onto the road with a gasp, feeling pain surge through my body, I felt a heavy pressure push on my chest, "Oh Parker," The silky, menacing voice echoed, I opened my eyes and my face paled, 'Impossible.'
