*HER POV*
Oh my god. I can't believe I'm late. Dad's gonna so kill me, after that guy leaves.
*She enters home and finds her dad and the man talking. They both looked extremely worried. But she could tell by her dad's eyes that he was going to bring more hell upon her.*
Dad~ "Oh my god! Serena! You're home! You're home! What happened!"
Serena~ "I missed the bus and I couldn't find a ride. Then I found Emily and she dropped me off."
Dad~ "Okay I'm just glad you're safe."
Serena~ "Dad, is that, the guy?"
Dad~ "Oh! Right! How rude of me! This is Mr. Richards, the social worker!"
Mr. Richards~ "Its very nice to to meet you hon. And if you don't mind me asking, Mr. Smith, why does she have a black eye?"
Dad~ "I honestly don't know! She was fine in the morning. Do you mind telling us what happened sweetie?"
Serena~ "Right, I, I, um, during PE, while we were playing um, sof-, I mean baseball, the ball came at me and hit me right in the eye. The nurse said it could have been worse."
Mr. Richards~ "Okay then. I already spoke with your father. Now I need to speak with you."
Dad~ "Ah yes. Well go on hon , tell him what he needs to know."
Mr. Richards~ "Alone."
*Mr. Smith leaves the room, but she can tell he's listening very closely.*
Mr. Richards~ "Okay. We're alone. No lying . Be upfront with me dear. Tell me how does your father treat you."
Serena~ "He's a great dad. Never yells, always fun but can be serious when he need to."
Mr. Richards~ "Mmhm. Now do you think you have any idea why we need to come here."
Serena~ "Well lately, my dad and I have been playing games and-"
Mr. Richards~ "What kind of games?"
Her~ "Oh you know, the average, we'd play Jenga, Monopoly, Yahtzee, all that fun stuff. Well anyways we've playing a lot and-"
Mr. Richards~ " You already know the  real reason I'm here. Don't you? I understa-"
Serena~ "No, no. I know why you're here. It's just a little hard to talk about sir."
Mr. Richards~ "Take all the time you need."
Serena~ "Well, it was a normal day really. My mom took me and my older sister, Katrina, to a party. We had a lot of fun. But it was almost 1 AM and Dad was on a business trip, so he had no idea we were out so late. And my mom, she, she had to much to drink. And Katrina still hasn't gotten her drivers license yet so there wasn't much she could do. We tried to convince her to take the bus, but she just got mad at us. When she had enough, she grabbed us by our hair and through me in the back seat, and pushed Katrina into the passenger's seat. Katrina, she, she, she tri, tried to st, st, stop her but, but. She just wouldn't listen. And, an-. The rest was really a blur. I woke up in a hospital bed, my dad was there, probably crying his heart out. I, checked my phone. It was December 3rd. And I swore I thought everything happened on December 1st. I called over a nurse and asked her what happened. And the she started yelling to my dad and the doctor he was talking to, "She's awake! She's awake!"  I asked her again what happened, and, apparently i was in a coma for 2 days. But at the moment, I really didn't care, I ju, I, I just wan, wanted to, to, find my mom and Katrina. And then, when I asked her about my, my. Im sorry."
Mr. Richards~ " Would you-"
Serena~ " No, no, I can finish. When i asked her about my mom and Katrina I can remember almost exactly what she said, "Oh, right, you don't know. Im so sorry to tell you but you mother she died on impact when she collided with the other car. And you sister, she had cracked her skull, had a broken ribcage. She actually survived the car crash, but once she was treated, she asked to check out. She was old enough, so, not to many questions were asked." I haven't seen my sister since that day. Its been almost 8 months, so, she's 20 now. Is that all you need to know sir?"
Mr. Richards~ "Serena, you did a great job. I'm very proud of you. You're holding up so strong and you've been through so much. If I were you I would have lost it by now."
Her~ "Thank you."
Mr. Richards~"Mr. Smith, you can come back in now."
*Mr. Smith enters the room and begins speaking to Mr. Richards*
Mr. Richards~ "Okay then. Im going to take a look around the house and then Im good to go."
*Mr. Richards takes a look around the house. He checks to make sure they are all fine and that it isn't to crowded or much of a dump.*
Mr. Richards~ "Well everything's fine. Your house is not crowded and it's definitely clean. So I am good to go."
Mr. Smith~ "Thank you. Told you not to worry about it."
Mr. Richards~ "Honestly, you two have done amazing. I know some fathers or mothers, they just completely forget about their children, and those kids, they begin cutting and starving themselves. Heh, but you to are doing remarkable."
Mr. Smith~ "Okay then, hone-"
Mr. Richards~ "Right I'll get going, and Serena,"
Serena~ "Yes Mr. Richards?"
Mr. Richards~ "Put some ice on your eye. And be more careful during PE. You must of really hurt yourself because that eye looks like someone beat you up."
Her~ "Right of coarse. Take care Mr. Richards!"

Jesus. I'm in for it now he's gonna kill me. Im gonna go get some ice for my eye hopefully I'm not dead by then.
*Mr. Smith quietly went up to his room, without a word, as she went to the kitchen to get some ice*
I'm surprised I'm not dead yet. I swear I thought he'd be hitting me with the belt by now. Still not taking chances. I'm just gonna go to- Oh god..
