The day after tomorrow will be the day they take off because it's also the deadline given by the Dystopians.
Thirteen woke up feeling sore and a little bit hungover from last night's theatrics. He was still processing the news.
He made breakfast for himself as the others would probably be eating already breakfast that Cassandra has cooked. She has promised to take care of them, anyway.
Today, he plans on expanding the training of the Utopians. The ladt time he was here, he was with another Utopian. His name was Nexus. A Utopian who could create things as long as the materials were present.
Outside Elysium, there is a certain building that has a secret underground path. It leads to a training facility that is almost equal to the Lecture room. Nexus, Thirteen, and Layla, who was another Utopian, made it. And now, only Thirteen returned. The other two were reported lost after their third exploration in the outside world.
Lost, Thirteen told himself as he eats his omelet Not dead. Until now, he still believe that they are alive. Somewhere.
Thirteen cleaned up and went to the city.
He arrived in Cassandra's house with the others already waiting on the simple living room. Everyone seemed well rested. Megan was wearing a blue dress, Alice was wearing a plain purple t-shirt and jeans. She was sitting next to Miguel who looked comfortable in a red tank top and shorts. Tracy was wearing a hoodie and blue jeans. Beside her, Kent was wearing a button up shirt and brown jeans, he was beaming at Thirteen. Thirteen, somehow, couldn't help but smile back a little. Brianna looks at Thirteen attentively, as if planning to take in his every detail.
"There's something about you today," Brianna said. Thirteen looked at himself. He was wearing a black polo shirt and loose jeans.
"What?" Thirteen asked, curious as to what is something about him. But before Brianna could answer Vlad, with his loud choice of color for clothes, spoke up.
"You want to train the Utopians now," Vlad said, suspiciously impatient. "What should we do?"
"Same thing," Thirteen replied. "Gather info about anything that may get us off this place
"Got it" Vlad said.
Thirteen and the other Utopians left Elysium through normal means: a tunnel that goes up. Fortunately, they didn't have to pass through a sewer again.
When they have left Elysium behind, they saw that above it there's a wide diamond roof. It was the one responsible for sunlight passing into the city. But it was diamond.
"How is that possible?" Megan asked, her brows furrowed. "Dimond's like the hardest, carving it like that would require extreme accuracy and instruments. And that's not taking into account the rarity of diamond."
"That diamond wasn't mined." Thirteen said and continued on moving. The other Utopians followed not wanting to get lost.
"So what is it?" It was Tracy who asked.
"There was once a Utopian who can create things as long as the raw materials were present," Thirteen said it as if recalling a very intimate memory. "He called his powers Alchemy and he was a close friend of mine. His name was Nexus."
Kent, somehow, felt a twinge of jealousy. "Where's he now?" Kent asked.
"He got lost here the last time I was here," Thirteen didn't even looked at Kent. And Thirteen's tone discouraged anyone from asking any further.Silence settled on the group.
A Utopian got lost here.
Thirteen decided to break the silence. "We have at least twenty minutes of walking ahead of us," Thirteen declared. "You can ask me anything."
