Chapter Twelve

Shane's POV 

Kier and Laurence had gone into one of the back rooms a while ago. Hopefully, when they come back they will be together! We waited for a short while but they never came out. Hmmm, maybe they just went straight home without telling us. Drew had, had a fair few drinks by this time so I decided it was time to head home.

"Drew, I think its time we went home"

I said. Based on what I had planned, I didn't want Drew to be drunk.

"Okay!"

Drew said, standing on his tiptoes to kiss my cheek.

"Luke, you staying here?"

I asked, hoping he would.

"Yeah, I was gonna have a few more before I go."

Thank god.

Drew's POV 

Shane had asked if we could go home early. Could today be the day when everything becomes perfect?

Shane took my hand and we walked down the street. I skipped a little, mostly because I'd had a few drinks, but I made sure I wasn't drunk.

We arrived at our flat and I stumbled a little, getting through the doorway.

Shane led me towards our bedroom, but before we entered, I peeked into Laurence's and Kier's bedroom, to see if they'd come back from the pub. Both of them were asleep, and holding one another...I think our plan had worked.

We entered our bedroom and we both removed our jackets and threw them on the floor.

I laid face-up on our bed. Shane came and leaned over me, placing a sweet kiss on my lips.

"S-shane, I-I have something I want to tell you"

I whispered. He pushed away a piece of my hair from my face and looked into my eyes.

"And what would that be then?" 

He asked, in a soft voice. 

Right, okay, this is it. No time to be shy or timid now, you have to do this.

"Shane Sumner...I-I-I love you"

I heard Shane's breath hitch in his throat and my heart was racing like crazy, I'm surprised he didn't hear it.

"Drew Woolnough, I love you too"

Shane leaned down and kissed my lips. We both smiled into the kiss and ended up with our foreheads touching.

I could feel Shane's warm breath on my face and suddenly, the look in Shane's eyes changed from being full of love to full of innocence and uncertainty.

What was he uncertain about?

He leaned down to kiss me again. This time the kiss was deeper. Shane ran his hands through my hair and I did the same to him. He trailed small kisses along my jawline and then down my neck. He stopped for a moment and began to kiss along my collar bones...

~short time lapse~

Me and Shane were both laid on our backs, staring at the celing, our breathing begining to calm down and our skin, sweat-slicked. Shane turned to face me and kissed me softly on the lips before grabbing my waist gently and pulling my closer to him. He kissed my head and and whispered,

"I love you so so much, Drew. You know that?"

My breathing stopped momentarily. 

"I love you too Shane. With all my heart."

I closed my eyes to fall asleep and snuggled into shane's chest. My thoughts were still trying to comprehend what had just happened. But what was very clear was the fact that now, there are no flaws in our relationship. It is perfect.
