"So when did you- you know- fall in love with her?" Thomas smirked, knowing he had him right where I wanted him, with his head in Fionaland.
"Woah," Newt said, defeated with his hands up, "What?"
"I may be slow to getting to know things around here...

Turns out all of our lives were at her mercy. The 'her' title could be granted to Teresa or Fiona in this situation. But in my case, I'd only trust Fiona. Gally, begrudgingly, had the same idea.
"Are you sure you know how to do this?" Gally questions, lacing his fingers at the nape of his neck. Fi watched Teresa take out Frypan's and Thomas's microchips. There may or may not have been a revolver to her head as she did so. Lucky for Teresa, Fi's a fast learner.
"Oh, look," Fi pointed to Gally but grinned at Frypan, "That's a rather large baby. Don't you think Fry?"
"Largest I've seen." He smirked.
Gally sat down with his back to Fi. "Shuck off."
"If you want, you can wait for Teresa-" Fiona attempted to offer.
"Shut your face and take it out." Their friendship seemed to pick up where it left off. I'd been jealous of Gally before, which was child's play compared to the burning in my chest now. I tried to smother it, crossing my arms. I leaned against the wall, giving them space.
"Yes, sir." She shook her head, delicately placing her fingers on the back of his neck. My teeth scratched together. Gally closed his eyes, trying to focus on her touch instead of the pain.
Two people, against all odds, found each other again. Maybe that's what soulmates are. What fool fought against the power of soulmates?
Fiona removed the chip, throwing it on the floor and crushing it beneath her heel as it dripped with blood. She dabbed the wound with a damp cloth, clearing it before placing a bandage she stole from a corner store a few hours ago.
She rested her chin on top of his head with a smile, "The big baby lives to see another day."
He rolled his eyes. "You are insufferable."
"Wah wah." She faked a cry, and Frypan followed.
Gally put up with enough of the annoyance and spun around quickly. He dove, curving his head to the left of her waist and picking her up by both legs, throwing her over his shoulder. Fiona shrieked, "Fear not, Teresa, I will be the personality delivering this one to Janson."
Several hands across the room flew to Gladers' mouths, trying to hide their laughs. Teresa's dirty look hit his back. Brenda lacked concern and let her cackles fill the room. Her recklessness is something I'll miss greatly. Maybe the missing piece we needed.
Jorge tilted his chin at the pair. "Have they always been like this?"
I dug my nails into my arms, trying not to lose my temper. The shame had not left my heart from my outburst towards Tommy.
"This is actually quite tame for them." Frypan hadn't grinned this much since the Gladers built him a smokehouse in the maze. I tried to focus on that, ignoring my girlfriend being carried around by her not-so-forgotten ex-boyfriend. "I'm surprised she hasn't stabbed his shank ass with that scalpel."
