EVERMORE — TAYLOR SWIFT
'Whether weather be the frost, or the violence of the dog days. I'm on waves out being tossed.'

It comes down to Cassie and Draco, he has all of the wands in his grasp. She kneels down and looks him in the eye. She puts a warm hand on his cheek and looks straight through him. "Please, Draco." she whispers.

Draco considers it for a moment, but he lets go of them. He squeezes Cassie's hand as he passes them to her. "I'm sorry." he whispers back.

She kisses his head before standing up and joining the others.

Moments before Cassie apparates, the image of Draco's face burns a hole in her mind. She wishes she could take him with them, keep him safe and never let him near Lucius or the Deatheaters ever again.

They don't deserve him.

The dagger comes quickly. Very quickly. Cassie gasps as her knees hit wet sand. Enzo immediately runs towards her, hugging her as tightly as possible. Ron has Hermione and is repeating a mantra of comforting words to calm her down.

But Harry, he's holding Dobby. Dobby is bleeding and his eyes are fluttering open and shut. "Hermione!" Harry exclaims. "Please, you must have something in your bag."

Hermione doesn't respond. Cassie doesn't think she can even speak at the moment.

"Hermione, please!" he shouts.

It's quiet for a while. Enzo holds Cassie to his chest as Harry sobs. Nobody moves for at least a few minutes— and they probably could've stayed out there all day if not for Remus. He jogs down the beach to them with what seems to be Fleur and Bill. Cassie's senses blur together as the three adults around them help everyone up and (attempt to) stabilise them. Bill covers Dobby with a blanket and holds him, taking him from Harry's grasp.

Enzo and Cassie hold onto each other the whole way back into the house, same with Ron and Hermione. Remus walks behind with Harry. Once inside, Fleur shows them to a room they can stay in— one they'd have to share with Remus, but Cassie is more than fine with that. Despite being an adult herself now, she still feels ten times safer with her dad. She doesn't think that feeling is ever going to go away.

"I'll give you two some privacy." Fleur smiles, closing the door behind her.

Cassie sits on the edge of the double bed with a sigh. Enzo rests his back against the door, looking Cassie in the eye. "I think we should talk about it, Cass."

She looks up at him, grinding her teeth. "Which part?"

"You know which."

Her lips part and she looks down, rubbing an exhausted hand over her face. "I don't know, Enz, I honestly don't know what you want me to say."

"Cassie, you just killed a man— the same man that killed your brother and got your dad sent to prison for twelve years. I don't know about you, but I think that's a very significant thing."

Her shoulders rise, "Well, I don't. It was pretty simple. I had the opportunity to do something I've only ever done in my dreams, so I took it. I made sure his last words would be his name— because he owes that to him. I know Cedric wouldn't be proud, of course he wouldn't— and I know for a fact dad won't be either— but I just don't care." she shrugs.

"Cassie, you're not listening to me— you killed a man. Obviously he deserved it, and I'm not even remotely pissed off that you did it, but it's one thing to plot murder, it's another to actually do it. Do you know the amount of times I've imagined myself slitting Draco's throat? Would I ever do it? Of course I wouldn't. Killing takes whatever part of innocence you had left, you must know that."
