"Okay, so all I have to do is-" A load grumble cut me off mid-sentence.

I groan to myself, looking down at my noisy stomach.

"Okay, before the escape plan, I need to get something to fill my stomach." I announce to myself.

I skip down the stairs, heading toward the kitchen. I froze when I saw a silhouette of a figure stand in front of the fridge.

The figure turned around, jumping as soon as our gaze met. Dropping the gallon of milk in their hand, screaming, but I'm not sure if her  screams were because of me or the fact that the jug broke.

On instinct I flinch at her loud reaction, quickly yelling an apology before turning to run off.

I was held back by a hand around my fore-arm. Turning around I find a gently smiling face staring right at me.

"Oh dear, don't be afraid. You have no reason to say sorry." She spoke with a soothing tone.

Not knowing what else to do, I shyly nod at her.

She gave me a warm smile before letting go of my arm. Glancing back to the mess on the floor, sighing.

"I-I can help you c-clean that up..." I stutter, my cheeks flooding with color as she raises an eyebrow at me. "I-If you w-want.." I add shyly.

She gave me a beaming smile and nodded. "Thank you, I'd really appreciate that, miss...?"

"Luna." I answer before she extends her hand out for me to shake. I hesitantly take it.

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl." She said with a playful wink. "I'm Morgan by the way."

I simply nod, unsure of how to respond to her obvious flirtatious action.

She laughed a little at my lack of reaction, handing me a paper towel and grabbing one for herself.

I gladly took the paper towel, I see her kneeling down to clean up the mess and I quickly join her.

After about seven or eight minutes of kneeling, I started rubbing my now sore legs. Morgan seemed to notice my actions, because she reached into the freezer and pulled out an ice pack, which I happily took.

"You must be hungry. What can I get for ya?" Morgan asked, giving me a megawatt smile.

I smiled back, nodding as my stomach decided to make its presents known with a loud grumble.

Laughing nervously I see her stifling her own giggle.

"Um.... If I could get just something small..." I say, still a little embarrassed.

"Okay, anything specific?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at me.

"No, just something quick and filling, if you don't mind." I whisper, scratching my forearm nervously.

She just gave me a warm smile. "Of course, sweet. Coming right up!" She exclaims as she shoves a pan onto the stove, starting up the burner. She pulled out an armful of ingredients and got to work.

I watched her closely, everything she did was so fascinating, because it was executed with such skill.

"You look like you're really good at this cooking thing." I mutter under my breath.

She giggled as she turned her head. "Yeah, I'd hope so, otherwise I don't know why I'm the pack's head chef." She grinned, boasting.

I gave her a soft laugh. " So you're the head chef around here, huh?" I say, gaining a bit of confidence.
