"Emilia! Five minutes till curtain!"

"Thanks Joe!"

I apply another layer of lip gloss and hobble my way out of my dressing room with my warm tea in hand towards stage right, ready to take the stage. I adjust the seashell bra and hear the music for "The World Above", my opening song. I immediately enter into the world of Ariel and wheel myself onstage and begin singing the song... hoping that I didn't forget anything.

As I wheel about the stage singing the song, I glimpse into the audience... Hundreds of little girls with their mothers, staring up at me with a gleam in their eyes. Seeing their favorite Disney princess singing in front of them. This is what every actress/actor longs for.. To see that they have impacted someone in a positive way, no matter what age. The looks on those little girls faces just made the full tooth grin on my mouth spread even farther, pulling me even more into the character.

During the "Kiss The Girl" scene, I'm sitting in the boat as its spinning.. Chris McCarrel is sitting in front of me, holding both my hands, being the dashing Prince that he is.. Right on cue, I act out a blush and tilt my head to the side.. Reciting every rehearsal and every action that Ariel does.. I am her, any mistakes I make are Ariel making those, I become her.. I have the amazing opportunity to share her story. I love this job.

As the curtain begins to fall after we've given our final bow, I collect all of the roses off the stage that the little girls tossed in my direction and head for my dressing room.
I plump down into my comfy chair with a plump and just take in a huge breath, still feeling like its opening night. I slip the wig off of my head and begin un-pinning the bobby pins from my long blond hair. With each set undone, a blonde curl cascades and lands over my shoulders, the length reaching halfway down my arms.

I begin removing the eyebrow makeup that makes them look like two twizzlers and immediately, by blue eyes pop out even more. My hair defining my eyes. I do a few stretches just to work out all of my muscles from all of that dancing and prancing around (which I LOVE) and change into a simple sun dress. Even though it's about 9 o'clock. I slip on some flats and brush back my bangs and check my teeth for lip stick. Nope! All clear!

I head out backstage door and, just as usual, a swarm of fans await outside along with reporters snapping pictures of Chris and myself. All asking the same questions.

"Emilia! How does it feel to be starring on Broadway!"

"Emilia! How has you're first few months on Broadway been?"

"Can you confirm or deny the relationship rumors between yourself and Chris McCarrel?"

I trudge past all the paparazzi and head towards the fans who have probably been waiting out here for a half hour. They are mostly teenagers with a mix of little girls. There's a guy every now and again, but it's rare... Unless he is with his wife/girlfriend.
I sign their playbills and their journals, I take selfies with them. I tell them all that they are all beautiful inside and out and outside in (it's my saying... I live and abide by it) and I hop into my taxi and head over to my apartment.

Once I get inside, my cute little Shitzu Bannie (Ban-niee) comes running up to me. Licking my face like crazy.

"Hey Bannie! Woah I'm alive! Geez give me some air!"

I laugh and wipe the dog drool off my face and head over to the fridge and grab some water. It takes me about ten seconds to down the whole bottle. As I head into the living room to see what's all on TV tonight.. I grab the pile of letters at my doorstep and flip through them.

I stop, and go back one.

It read
"Actors of Tomorrow Talent Agency"
I open up the letter to see what this all was. The letter said

"Dear Miss Skye,

My name is Renee McCoy, I am the head talent agent here at ATTA. I am writing this letter to inform you that I would like to take you as my client. I have seen your work on Broadway and have attended some of your rehearsals, along with seeing interviews etc. You are exactly what this Agency is looking for and I wish to expand your career to more than just the stage. I have confidence you can do more than what you may think. Please email me at RMCCOYAGENT@atta.org
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you."

My mouth hung on the floor as I re read the letter over and over again. The only agent I had was a old lady named Cheryl who all she did was landed me the audition for Ariel, then I never heard from her again.

I immediately do what any other reasonable person would do and break into a happy dance. Parading around my kitchen and singing the aria that Ariel sings when Ursula takes her voice.. My heart thinking over my mind. I giddily prance towards my bedroom and change into my silly pajamas and flop onto my bed.. Excited to go to sleep and wake up to see what tomorrow holds in store.
