Clary had decided she needed to leave. She would go before anyone even knew she was pregnant... especially Jace. Clary knew Jace would do everything he could for their baby and yes that was a good thing but he would even stop fighting demons if he thought it was best and Clary knew how much he loved fighting demons so she left. She had to, this was for the best, this way Jace could have a normal happy seventeen year old boy's life and not be dragged down by a baby. Clary had thought of abortion at first but she wasn't the type to do that, no she was going to have her baby and love it enough for two. Jace never had to know and niether did her mother or Luke. Maybe she would tell them someday but she had to give Jace enough time to get over her. She still remembered the day she left, leaving a tear stained note on his pillow saying she was leaving and even if he couldn't understand he had to trust that this was the best thing she could do.

That was almost 2 years ago. Now she lived in a small apartment outside of Queens. She had had a healthy baby girl and decided to name her MacKenzie Isabella after Max and Izzy.

She did miss Isabelle alot and, simon, but she missed Jace the most. Some days she wished she hadn't gone, she wondered how he would have reacted if she had told him about the pregnancy, but it was too late now and that was in the past. It was time to move on and in this not to shabby house with her beautiful little girl. She thought it was the perfect place for it.

Jace paced up and down Magnus' apartment. Clary had left him about two years ago. He remembered her being sick and then her being gone. One thing was for sure though he wasn't going to stop looking for her. He would come over to Magnus' once a week and have him check various places very thoroughly but every week he would come up with nothing, No sign of her, for two whole years.

"Jace I'm still not getting anything on Clary" the only reason Magnus was helping him was because Alec had asked him to. Jace hasn't been the same since Clary left. He wouldn't eat or sleep and it was obvious in his features. "Jace... maybe it's time you consider... maybe she's gone. Really g-"

"No!" Jace interrupted knowing exactly what he meant "she is not dead Magnus I would know. I would feel it. You need to find her"

With that Magnus inhaled and shook his head " Well I've searched the whole area Jace. Why don't you go home and get some rest. We'll try again next week" he showed jace to the door and collapsed onto the couch. This was tiring work, a warlocks magic was not limitless after all. They need to hurry up and find her so Magnus decided to keep looking without Jace. The lack of his pacing certainly helped with the concentration.

It was 2:30 a.m. Jace was in the library reading a book on tracking runes and different ways to find demons but demons didn't work like people. He couldn't make any of them work to find Clary. His Clary. Jace was thinking about the night Clary left when the sharp ring of his cell phone interrupted. Magnus. "Why would he be calling now?" Jace thought "Hello?" He said into the receiver

"Jace? I think I've found her"
