Clint's POV:
I looked around for the guys, but I didn't see any of them. Usually Steve is at least ten minutes early, dragging Bucky with him, but I couldn't spot them, so I decided to go on ahead and find my locker so that I could drop off all of my heavy, unnecessary books.
I looked at my schedule.
Locker #203. G Wing. Near FFA meet up. Perfect. Maybe we can all meet up there after school, right before tryouts.
I headed over and pulled out my code slip.
I twisted my code into the lock. Once I got it open, I took my books out of my bag and stuffed them in. I took another look at my schedule. After homeroom, math. Crap. I grabbed my math books and headed towards my new homeroom.
The first thing that I noticed was all of the posters. Any war you could think of was there. Especially the World Wars. I already loved my homeroom. I took a seat near the back, in a corner. I ended up beside a redhead.
Our teacher, Mr. Martin, started droning on about AP classes. I turned towards the redhead.
"Sup. I'm Clint. Archery master. You are?"
"Natalie. Perfect shot. Now shut it. I'm not getting put up front on the first. Day."
I liked her. Cold, but had an adventurous fire in her eyes. Her beautiful, candy apple green eyes.
Finally, after twenty minutes of 'AP this' and 'AP that', we heard the first bell. I cut out and made my way back to my locker. Math was on the other side of the building, so I decided to grab my bag instead of carrying the textbooks in my arm all the way there. I grabbed my bag out of the locker, and was stuffing my books in when I heard
"I said give me your money, kid!"
I spun around.
Four seniors, most likely the top jocks, had cornered another poor freshman up against the lockers across from me, and were demanding their lunch money. Obviously, the kid had some guts.
"Well, old man, I said no! Or can't you understand English?!" Wait, I know that voice! Everything after that happened in a matter of seconds. She kicked his legs out from under him, then punched two of the others in their faces, while simultaneously kicking the other one in his sensitive spot, causing all four to fall to the ground in pain.
Yep. It was Natalie, the redhead from homeroom. I walked over just as the four wannabes got back up. I came up behind them.
"I do believe that she said no."
I knocked all four out.
"Someone please go get the nurse."
I looked up and stared into her candy apple eyes.
"Friends?" She sighed.
"Friends." She sounded annoyed, but had a playful smile on her face.Natalie's POV:
I walked to the east wing, where my locker, #202 is located.
I had homeroom, then math. My classes matched those of many that SHIELD were trying to protect so they could slowly turn them into agents. They had top agents positioned as teachers for the children. Those classes had children of every top kind, all perfect material for future SHIELD agents.
My mission:
Take out SHIELD agents, put KJB agents in their places. Turn the kids towards KJB, leave.
If I succeed, Red Room Phase 2 Training begins. If I fail, my fate is that of my parents.
I walked into my homeroom and took a seat in the back right corner. I had a view of every seat in the class from here. Step 1 complete. Have a birds eye view.
Soon enough, a slightly built blond walks in. He sits beside me. He was defiantly on watch for SHIELD.
He looked me over quickly.
"Sup, I'm Clint, archery master. And you are?"
I decided to brag. Just enough to get him curious about me, but not enough to give myself away.
"Natalie, perfect shot. Now shut it. I'm not getting put up front on the first. Day."
I caught him staring, so I locked eyes with him. He had perfect dark green eyes. They reminded me of a forest on a late summers afternoon. I could get lost in them for eternity.
After homeroom, I hurried to my locker to grab the books that I would need for my dreaded math class.
As I turned and started to walk off, four seniors pushed me across the hall, and the leader shoved me into the lockers.
He demanded my lunch money, but I refused.
"I said, give me your money, kid!"
I sneered at him.
"Well, old man, I said no!" Or can't you understand English?!"
And with that, I drop kicked his legs out from under him, then turned to face the other three. I punched two of them dead in the face, while giving one a solid kick where the sun don't shine.
They started to get back up, and I got into a fighting stance, but before I could, the slightly built blonde from earlier, Clint, came up.
"I do believe that she said no."
He swiftly knocked all four of them out. He simply looked down at them all, wiped off his hands, and stated:
"Someone please go get the nurse."
He looked up at me.
"Friends?" I sighed.
"Friends." I jokingly made myself sound annoyed by it, but I was smiling happily.
Step two complete. Make a friend, make an enemy.
Yes, he's now my friend, but ughh. He's gonna be the death of me someday, I can already tell it...
