Both Eli and I were silent in the car, neither attempting to start a conversation. This silence was soon broken by the sound of my
Phone. I quickly picked it up and answered,

"Hello?"

"Hey" I could hear Drake slur into the line. I rolled my eyes I can't handle this, not  tonight.

"Are you drunk?" This caught Eli's attention as he glanced at me before returning his attention to the road.

"Nah what are you talking about" he slurred in response. He was defiantly drunk.

Drake was an asshole to put it nicely. He was a person who started drama, an attention seeker, player and really moody. You could easily get on his bad side within seconds, he made up shit and twisted stories. Basically, I was not his biggest fan.

"Where are you?" I asked,

"At Blake's party" he said,

"Okay stay there I'll call a cab for you, or you can spend the night at her house. Your choice."

"Just send me a cab" he said sounding pissed, I rolled my eyes in response.

"Okay, bye."

I cut the phone and quickly called a cab, telling him the address and who to look for. I then messaged Drake telling him to be outside in ten minutes. I sighed I really did not like all the drama associated with Drake. I always kept my distance but, he seemed to always come into my life one way or another.

I rested my head against the car seat and closed my eyes. My head was starting to hurt.

"You know you can just drop me off at the hospital. You can head back home. It's going to take a long time in the waiting room, I'll be fine by myself." I said to Eli my eyes still closed,

"No it's my fault your in this situation and I'm staying with you weather you like it or not." I rubbed my temple with my good hand, I couldn't put up with this.

"Whatever" I whispered more to myself than him. We pulled into the hospital parking lot and hopped out the car. I slowly made my way to the waiting room knowing how long it would take for my turn to come. I better get comfortable.

I called my dad letting him know I would be coming home really late, explaining to him how my fingers were probably broken and that I would tell him more about it later on.

I found an empty row of seats near the back and sat down, Eli took a seat next to me.
"You know we are probably going to be here for like another four hours right?" I told Eli,

"Yeah I know but, I messed up and
I want to be here with you"

"Okay whatever you say." I just opened my phone and decided to read.

This is so boring, the chairs in the waiting room were so uncomfortable. I don't know how many times I've tried to find a comfortable position.

"You haven't asked why I was so mad" Eli said,

I looked up at him, sitting back in my chair, "yeah I never asked because it's your choice if you want to tell me or not. Besides, it's none of my business."

"You know I'm sorry right? I really didn't mean for all this to happen" Eli said,

"No one intends for things like this to happen, you were pissed, my fingers got in the way. I should of just left you alone." I said not really paying attention to him. "Besides, my fingers don't hurt that much, the worst thing that can happen is that I will have to get a cast."

Eli gently picked up my wrist to my right hand, my fingers were swelled and the bruising had gotten worse. He examined it, apologizing over and over.
