Lol SIKE! I was greeted with an empty kitchen. Confused as to what I should be looking for I looked over to Eli for an explanation.
"Um... What am I supposed to be looking at?" I asked still confused."Actually your dad called me to check up on you, and I thought I should put together a surprise, but I really don't have anything to give you since you have everything so..." he rubbed the back of his head, "I'm giving you the best thing you can get, me."
I looked at him bewildered. Yo is this man high? This guys got to be high. I rolled my eyes, spun on my heel and went straight to my room. I was not up for his bullshit at the moment, I had a comfy bed calling my name.
But before I could reach the stairs he grabbed my hand (the good hand) and pulled me back.
"Just hear me out," Eli pleaded. I looked at him with an arched brow waiting for him to continue."I already know one or two of your fingers will either be broken or fractured. So since you won't be able to do things like you usually do, I will personally help you." He explained,
"Who forced you into this?" I asked,
"No one!" He said too quickly, I narrowed my eyes, yeah right. This is the same guy that has tortured me for the past 17 years of my existence, he wasn't going to become nice all of a sudden.
"Tell me, who put you up to this"
He sighed, "I feel bad okay? You wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for me, and I just wish it was me instead. I didn't mean to hurt you, I never meant that, if I knew this was going to happen I probably would of stayed clear of the stupid engagement party." He muttered bitterly staring at my bandaged hand.
I sighed, so he just felt really guilty, but I still wanted to know what made him so mad last night.
"I already told you I don't blame you for what happened, it's okay. You can go home and we can go back to avoiding each other, just like we used to before all this happened, sounds good?"
"No! I'm not leaving you especially after what I did. You're stuck with me" he said smirking devilishly. I just stared at him like he was some creep. At this moment I realized he was still holding my hand the entire time we had this conversation.
"Could you please let go?" I said staring at how his hand were clasped around my limp one. He pulled away immediately, his ears turning pink from the top.
I turned around from him and made my way back to my room to continue by Netflix marathon. Eli followed up until I got into my bed an he just stood there looking awkward as ever. I shrugged paying no mind and pressed play from where I left off. He plopped on my chair doing whatever it was on his phone.
We stayed like that for a few minutes before Eli asked if there was anything he could do.
"Get me food" I said feeling hungry after watching all those episodes."What do you want to eat?" He asked,
"I don't know, I'm kinda feeling Mcdonalds but it's up to you" I said not caring what he would bring as long as it was edible."Okay I'll be back in a few," he said getting up to leave.
"Can you put these dishes in the dishwasher while you're at it?" I said picking up my dirty bowl of soup and handing it to him. He simply nodded and left. I sighed, I really was not up for whatever Eli was planning. I knew he felt bad for hurting my hand. But I don't think I'm ready to have him around me constantly for six to eight weeks that my hand would take to heal.
After about ten minutes Eli came back with a bag of mcdoanlds, plopping next to me on the bed he handed it over.
I peered in the bag to find a Big Mac no meat extra lettuce and extra Mac sauce, I smiled contently.
"How did you know I'm vegetarian?" I asked him as I took a bite out of the burger, he shrugged in response and that was how the night went by. Both of us eating Mcdoanlds on my bed watching Netflix. One could even say Eli and I Netflix and chilled.
