The next day I woke up at eleven, I hopped out of bed heading towards the shower. Once my morning routine was completed I headed downstairs, my hair wrapped in a towel. I sat down and poured myself a bowl of cereal as I watched TV, eventually my dad strolled in,

"Morning" I said before putting a spoonful of oatmeal in my mouth. My dad grunted in response not looking up from the papers he was examining,

"What time do you want me to get ready by, for the party tonight?"

"Six thirty" I nodded my head in response before rinsing my bowl and placing it in the dishwasher. I headed back up to my room and into my closet where my new dress hung. I looked at it trying to decide what would go with it. I looked at the shoes and decided on a cream pair, eventually I concluded that they looked too harsh with the dress and settled with a pair of black pumps with a red underlay. I felt as if jewelry would overpower the look so I decided against wearing anything other than a pair of diamond studs.

I smiled content with my outfit for tonight, now what to do with my hair and face. I looked in the mirror letting my hair fall out of the towel. I had light brown hair, dark brown eyes, so dark that sometimes you couldn't tell if I had a pupil, which gave me this doe eyed look. Okay, I have to search up makeup looks and hair tutorials, after about two hours I had an idea of what I was going to do. It was three forty-six so I had plenty of time to lounge around before I had to start getting ready.

I walked into my bathroom to brush out my hair, which was now a tangled mess. After about twenty minutes of yanking chunks of hair out of my skull, my hair was tangle free and I would be able to style it without a fuss. I sighed as I walked towards my desk pulling out my laptop to watch, you guessed it, Criminal Minds. As I was watching the show I started taking out the makeup products I would need later on. Once the show ended I decided it was finally time to get ready, I decided to start with my hair, and I pulled out my curler and flat iron, waiting for them to heat up. I straightened the top parts of my head so it wasn't a frizzy mess before moving onto curling my hair. I did not feel as if I needed much makeup so I stuck to bb cream and powder with a bit of blush. I applied a thin line of eyeliner and winged it out slightly, I finished the look with a tinted red lip balm. In the end I hated how my hair looked, especially with the dress, so I put it up in a sock bun, I did braid some pieces of hair to make it look a bit more appealing.

Satisfied with the way I looked, I grabbed my phone slipping my debt card behind the case and grabbing my wallet. I walked downstairs, checking the time just fifteen more minutes until we left. We ended up leaving later than I expected, I left my wallet inside the car as we reached the McCarson's house at six forty-five. We were greeted by many people, I just stuck by my dad's side until I found a nice corner to stand by. I looked around, attempting to find a place where I could be alone and potentially escape. As I was looking I didn't notice an old grandma walking my way,

"Hello dear," she smiled looking up at me, I felt warm inside, she's so cute and wrinkly I thought, I smiled, "I'm Valerie Harrison, it's a pleasure to meet you"

"Likewise" she replied omg I want to squeeze her she is so cute and- my thoughts were cut off by the annoying voice of Eli.

"Grandma, what are you doing talking to that" he said pointing at me giving me the elevator look, 'okay buddy'

"You're related to this" I used my thumb indicate Eli,

She gave me a small smile, "Sadly"

My grin widened as I looked between Eli and his grandma, "I've convinced myself that he was switched at birth" his Grandma said, "I am positive that my grandson would not be as ugly as him" at this point I let out a laugh.
