Sam insisted that I spend the rest of the day with him, and after twenty minutes of arguing I finally agreed. After breakfast he took me home so that I could shower and change into fresh clothes that weren't his. Once I unlocked the door to my house I trudged upstairs - still groggy and sleepy - and got in the shower.  I stood there for a while and let the warm water cascade down my body. It was bliss, and I would have stayed in there too if Sam didn't come banging on the bathroom door.

"Jesus Christ, Alex, what's taking so long," he said in between the pounds on the door.

"Oh shut up," I replied slightly annoyed. "Give me a couple more minutes."

I finally got out and wrapped myself in a big, fluffy towel. I went into my room to fish out some clothes to wear. I decided on a pair of black skinny jeans with a loose-fitting white short sleeve v-neck. I was so busy looking for those I hadn't even noticed I wasn't alone in my room.

"Damn Lex. Don't you think you should take me out to eat before you start walking around in just a towel around me?" he said which caused me to scream and turn around. He was casually laying on my bed with a smirk on his face. God I really hated him sometimes.

"Sam get out!" I practically screamed while pulling the towel tighter around my body. He started laughing loudly, still laying on my bed. I picked up a pillow that was on the floor near my feet and hurled it at him. "Sam leave," I half screamed half laughed. I could never be mad or annoyed at Sam for long.

"Alright alright fine I'll leave," he said holding up his hands in mock surrender. He got off my bed and quickly left my room so I could change. Once I was dressed I went back in my bathroom and put on a light layer of makeup. I decided to leave my hair wet to let it air dry and do its own thing. I grabbed my black boots from my room and ran downstairs to find my mom and Sam in the kitchen. Oh god. Hopefully he didn't tell her I slept at his place last night. They were laughing at something Sam said so I took that as a good sign. I walked over and took a seat next to Sam.

"Hey mom," I said trying to sound innocent. I hesitantly grabbed an apple from the fruit basket and took a bite.

"Hey honey. Sam was just telling me about the movie you guys watched last night."

"Oh yeah uh huh," I said absentmindedly. I wasn't really paying attention to what she was saying like always. Instead I was too busy watching Sam play with his hands. I always noticed the little things about him. Like the way his ocean blue eyes sparkled in the sunlight. Or the way he would tug on his bottom lip with his teeth. Damn he would look good with a lip ring.

"Alex honey are you even listening to me?" Of course I wasn't. I quickly snapped out of my daze and tried to put all my attention on my mother standing in front of me, giving me a quizzical look.

"Yeah sorry I'm still tired. What were you saying?"

"I asked how Christina was doing. Didn't you sleep over her house last night?"

"Oh yeah. She's good I guess but she's been acting a little funny," I lied making sure I kept Christina's relationship with Calum a secret.

"It was so nice of Sam to give you a ride home. You're such a sweetheart," she said while reaching over to pinch Sam's cheek, making him blush and smile.

"Yeah Christina was still knocked out and I didn't wanna bother waking her up so I called Samuel," I said smirking. At the sound of his full name Sam looked at me, his smile fading a bit. He hated it when anyone - even his mom - called him that. I couldn't help but softly laugh to myself. When my mom wasn't looking he quickly thumped me on my forehead. I let out a silent "ow" and Sam smirked.
