Chapter 12

Anna's P.O.V.

I'm honestly furious, angry, irritated and mad at Jace. He hurt me in ways that I've never even been hurt before. There's no reason for him not to hook up with another girl, but he owes me at least an explanation for the kissing of the random blonde and why he kept leading me on if he didn't want me to be his girlfriend.

Infuriated, I grabbed my phone and my flip flops to head out the door and talk to Jace. All I could think about was what I was going to say to him. I didn't want to sound like a jealous friend and I didn't want to sound like a stalker.

I stormed out the door and walked to his house. I got to the front door and I was about to ring the doorbell, but u had second thoughts.

Was this really worth it? This might destroy the friendship we have...

Technically, Jace wasn't "cheating" on me, but he still used me and lead me on to believe I was special to him. I truthfully wasn't in a mood to destroy a friendship over one thing. So I let it go and walked back home, being the witty girl I am.

-the next day-

I woke up to a ringing sound. I fluttered my eyes open and saw that my phone was vibrating. Jace was calling me.

"Hello?" I spoke into my phone.

"Hey, I'm heading to the beach with a couple of my friends, wanna join?"

I was half asleep and wasn't even thinking when I sternly said ," no."

"Why, you have plans?" Jace asked confused.

Shoot. I forgot, I decided to let that kiss go.

"Sorry, I meant sure." I replied back.

"Really? You sounded pretty mad."

"Yea. I'll get ready, when are you leaving?"

"In about an hour. I'll pick you up at 12. see ya!" And Jace hung up.

I looked at the time and it was 11 am. Dang. I sure know how to sleep in.

I groggily walked down the stairs wearing my One Direction tour shirt from the Take Me Home Tour and my Nike pros. My mom took Jace and I to the Take Me Home Tour. We were both 13. I remember him complaining about the noise and how he was the only guy there. He didn't even like the band, I forced him to go.

I grabbed some breakfast and headed upstairs to get ready for the beach.

Tossing my whole closet upside down, I decided to go in a bikini from the brand Triangl. It was neon pink with lines of lime green. It was my favorite because it was really good quality and it came from a pretty expensive brand.

I threw on denim shorts from Hollister and a crop top from pac sun. I grabbed my neon pink sunglasses to match my swimsuit. Then I did my hair in a messy braid and waited for Jace.

-Jace's P.O.V.-

"Yo, Noah. Let's go. I have to pick up Anna."

*ding dong*

Who would that be? I'm going to be late. I have to pick Anna up in 5 minutes.

Noah anxiously ran to the door. Why was he so excited?

"Hey!!" I heard familiar voices say. I peeked around the corner to see who was there only to find Sophia and Brianna. They were all dressed up in swimming outfits so I knew they didn't drop by to say hi. Oh no. I invited Anna to come and now they're here? Noah must've invited them.

Sophia doesn't know about Anna and Anna doesn't know about Sophia.

"Noah, come here for a second!!" I yelled at him.

He instantly came jogging over to me. "What?"

"You never told me you invited these two.!" I was very annoyed with him.

"It was last minute. I thought you liked them."

"I invited Anna you dimwit!"

"So?" Noah obviously didn't know what happened between Sophia and I after we hung out as a group. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't cancel the plans. I'm just going to have to go with it.

"Whatever, let's go pick up Anna." I said.

-Anna's P.O.V.-

I heard several knocks on my door. I immediately answered knowing it was Jace. I saw there was Noah, and two other girls. They were really pretty.

"Hey." I smiled.

"Hey. This is Sophia and Brianna!" Jace introduced me as the two girls waved.

I smiled at them. But the girl named Brianna looked familiar I couldn't quite make it out though. Everyone turned around to start walking and that's when it clicked. I saw the blonde hair. Then I recalled the moment when Jace was kissing the mysterious blonde. Was Brianna that girl or was I just going insane? I shook it off trying to enjoy my day.
