My Cat vs. The invisible Enemy

Today my cat sprinted across the living room at full speed, did a parkour jump off the couch, slid across the floor like a hockey puck, and then—
attacked absolutely nothing.

I swear, she stared at a completely empty corner like it owed her money.

She arched her back.
Tail fluffed up.
Ears back.
Doing the whole “I’m a fierce jungle predator” thing.

At the air.

Just… atoms.

I tried to see what she was looking at.
Nothing.
She hissed at me like I was the problem and then smacked the wall for good measure.

Five minutes later she was purring on my lap like:

“Anyway, that’s over. Love you.”

Ma’am… explain the SWAT operation you just performed on oxygen???

I live in fear.
Not of ghosts.
But of whatever alternate dimension threats only she can see.
