We pulled into the driveway of her house. Unlike mine, Jenna's family was pretty well off. This was apparent in the neatly trimmed grass, the pretty shutters, and the fact that she had her own car. I was honestly kind of jealous of her.

“Upstairs, and third room to the right,” She said as we walked inside. I nodded, as I saw her house for the first time in years.

The pictures on the walls had changed somewhat, keeping updated with Jenna’s growth. There were a lot that included me, and I even spotted Karter once or twice. I smiled as I thought back on my childhood.

“You coming?” I saw that Jenna was already halfway up the stairs.

“Right behind you!” I replied as I ran to catch up with her.

Her room was completely different though. The bed had been pushed to the opposite wall to make room for a desk and computer.

I smiled, “Pretty fancy.”

“Birthday present,” she shrugged.

Jenna quickly logged in to the computer. I didn’t have to look, I already knew that her password was ‘applesorangespears’. That’s what she uses for everything. Don’t ask me why though.

She opened an internet browser.

“What’s the IP?” I asked.

She typed: ‘mcarthurhighsunderaspell.com’

The site was blank except for a chatbox in the middle.

“There isn’t a password or anything?” I wondered. “Then can’t anyone get on?”

Jenna shrugged. “I dunno why, but I don't’ think anyone besides our classmates use it. Maybe it checks some other way.”

“That's kinda creepy.”

Jenna pushed me in front of the computer.

“Do I just type something?”

“Yeah.”

“A-alright then.”

I nervously wrote in the chat box.

[Student: Hey.]

The reply came after a few anxious seconds.

[Spell: It’s nice to meet you.]

[Student: You knew it was my first time here?]

[Spell: Yes. I am equipped with high tech recognition skills. Such a task is simple for me.]

That's kinda creepy. If you want to call Spell out on that, go to chapter S3. If you want to ask Spell about Karter, go to chapter R1.
