If I Stay

Welcome Home

I grabbed my laptop off of my desk in my room and looked for something to do on it. I decided to do some research on cancer and sickness. That made me start to wonder to when the test results would come in from the doctor. I heard a slight knock on my door and my mom popped in.

"Hey baby girl. I was just checking in on you." she said as she came over and sat down on my bed.

"I'm fine so far. Did you happen to get the test results in yet?" I asked her and she looked at me.

"Um no not yet. I don't understand what is taking them so long to get them in." she said.

"I know what you mean." I said.

"Well I will let you be. I'm going to go ahead downstairs to do a couple of things. Just let me know if you need anything." she said and I nodded my head. She kissed the top of my forehead before she left my room. I got back on my laptop researching all these different kind of sicknesses that I could possibly have. I'm really scared on what I might have though. With the test results not in, I don't know what I have and I don't know what will happen next to me. The scary part is that when my brother comes home he isn't going to see me anymore if something does happen to me.

Two more hours of research I was really getting into it. "Hey Nevaeh, come on downstairs. A couple of people are here to see you." my mom yelled out from downstairs. I got up from my bed and walked out of my room to the stairs. I grabbed onto the railing tightly and felt the urge to do something.

"Be right there." I said then I ran back into my room to my bathroom and threw up in my toilet. I washed my face and brushed my teeth and then I walked back at the stairs. I grabbed tightly again on the railing and started walking down the stairs. As I got to the end of the stairs, I heard some familiar voices and I ran into the living room.

"NATE!" I yelled as I reached the door frame. He turned around and looked at me.

"NEVAEH!" He yelled. He opened up his arms and I ran to him.  He lifted me as we hugged and he kissed my cheek. He put me down and I felt a little dizzy.

"I can't believe that you're home." I said and he looked at me from head to toe.

"Wow you have changed since the last time I have seen you. Did you get taller?" he asked me and I smiled.

"Matter in fact I have no idea." I said. I started feeling dizzy again and I sat down on the couch.

"Are you okay?" Sammy asked as he sat down beside me.

"Yeah I am. Just a little dizzy." I said. I stood back up and I ran to the bathroom. I threw up again. I walked back out and they looked at me.

"I don't think you're okay." Nate told me and I sat down.

"Um well I've been pretty sick lately for about three months now. I don't know what's wrong with me and don't worry I went to the doctors and got some blood work done and an MRI done just to see how it is." I said and Nate sat down beside me after he told Sammy to move over.

"I really hope everything is okay with you. I don't want anything to happen to you." he said and I smiled as i gave him a hug.

I walked up to my room after we talked a little bit longer and they followed me up also, so Nate can put his things in his room, and I guess the other three are staying here too but they will be staying in the basement since it is a full basement. Anyways I sat down on my bed as I got up there and Sammy walked in. He looked at my laptop then looked at me. "Why are you doing research for?" He asked me and I looked at him.

"Well I am just learning a little bit more. I am just nervous to find out what I have." I said to him and he nodded his head as he sat down on my bed with me.
