Monday Sucks

I woke up that Monday morning not feeling it at all. I really hate Monday's. Today is the marking of four months since I have been sick. Still we haven't got the test results in yet and I am getting very impatient. After I got ready I walked downstairs with my bag, phone and keys and I walked into the kitchen to find Jack, Jack, Sammy, Nate and my mom were in there. "Good morning." I said and they all looked. "Good morning." everyone said. "You looked way too happy to be going to school." Sammy said to me and I looked at him. I grabbed a breakfast sandwich off of a plate and sat down in one of the chairs. "Yeah well I just don't want to be remembered that I am sick. I am going to finish my senior year not worrying about what's happening with me. Even when I get the results in." I said and Nate came over and gave me a side hug. "There you go." he said which caused me to smile. "Hey Nevaeh, shouldn't you be leaving for school?" my mom asked me and I looked at the time. "Oh yeah I better get going I guess I will see you all when I get home." I said and I headed out the door. I got to my car and I headed to the school making sure that I was going to be okay when I get into the school.

I walked to my locker when I it inside of the school and everyone was looking at me. "Thank god you're back. I missed you so much. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to come over and see you." My best friend Paislee said to me and I smiled as I gave her a hug. "Ah no it's okay. I know how work always gets anyways." I said to her. "Thank god you're not mad at me. So I heard that your brother and the rest of them are back. Is JJ still single?" she asked me and I laughed as I unlocked my locker. "Um as far as I know, he is actually. I just really hope Sammy is still single." I said and she gasped. "You like Sammy. You like Sammy. You like Sam-" she was saying but I covered her mouth with my hand but she licked it anyways. "Shh don't say anything. I am actually not sure what my feelings are towards him. It is so confusing but although I may like someone else." I said and she started smiling. I grabbed my books out of my locker and put my bag in. I closed my locker and put my lock on and put all of my attention on Paislee. "I have an idea." I said and she looked at me and I started to smile. "And what might that be?" she asked. "Well first, do you have work?" I asked her and she shook her head. "Good. come over to my house." I said to her and she smiled. "Alright. Now we better get to class." she said and we headed that way.

By third period everyone knew that I was back and they couldn't be any happier that I was. Which I don't understand because half of the people that are seniors couldn't even care less about me or maybe its because my brother and who I know. In fact I could care less. As third was over I walked to my fourth period class, study hall where I met back up with Paislee and we started talking about random stuff. As soon as I got to study hall I walked over to the computer and sat down on one of the wheelie chairs and started sliding on around. As soon as I started getting dizzy I knew that was a sign to tell me that I needed to stop before something happens to me. "Nevaeh why don't you come and sit down right here. You aren't looking too pretty." a guy in my study hall, Colten said to but who was also one of my best friends. I nodded my head making my way towards where he was pointing at and I sat down. "Wow that is so much better." I said. I put my head down on the desk and my phone went off.

I looked up at her and rolled my eyes. Colten looked in between the two of us and smiled. "Answer me." Paislee said to me.

Nev: Well I don't. He is just being nice. That's what friends are for.

I looked at Colten and he smiled at me. I smiled back of course. "So how are you feeling today?" he asked and I thought about it. "Well I actually feel pretty good." I told him. I sat in my seat quietly for the rest of the class period. No one really talked to me unless they needed something but I didn't mind. I already had a huge headache and silence was really helping.
