6: Cinderella of sorts

I walked into my room to see the elders and a woman, who I think was called Hanna, were waiting for me. I see Hanna around the pack usually and she always gives me a warm smile when we see each other.

''H-hello?'' I looked at them all in confusion.

''Right angel, I told you we'd get you to the ball and we will, I have everything with me.'' I looked at all of them with such ferocious respect and love that fat tears started dripping out of my eyes.

''You guys.'' I said as my chin wobbled with the emotions I felt. I never knew what happened to my mom or dad. So, they filled the roles without ever complaining or denying me. They never shunned me or told me to leave. They made sure I was always included somehow. My heart swelled with love as I thanked them. My notion was interrupted by Zack waltzing into my room looking at the gathering in spite.

''Well, well, well, what do we have here?'' He looked at me with a spiteful eye while he flashed the elders with a big blinding fake smile.

Severs and Annie stood up and pushed me behind them.

Zack watched the action and I could see his eyes light up in surprise.

''She's not going, no omega is allowed to leave their quarters until the ball is over.'' Zac said as he came further into the room.

''Well its the good thing I have some authority here and I demand you make an exception for angel, she has a chance to meet her mate and you aren't going to get in the way.'' Severus said calmly as he handed Annie a small pouch he had been holding.

Zack crossed his arms before loudly laughing in Severus's face. ''Dont think you're above me, Oracle.''

Severus looked dangerous as he towered over Zack, considering Zack was six foot. His eyes rolled to the back of his head and tinged purple.

''Do you want to tempt the beast, little pup.'' The voice wasn't of Severus'. Rather it belonged to his wolf and sounded lethal.

Zack visibly shrank back before pulling back and putting his hands up in defeat. ''O-okay she can go.''

Wow.

''But on one condition, she will accompany my father to the ball.''

No, no, no. I was visibly shaking. I couldn't go with that monster. I pulled Severus back and shook my head viciously.

''N-no, I wont go with him.'' I said quietly.

Zack sent me a wolfish grin and looked back to the elders.

''Guess the deals off then isn't it.''

He left the room quickly before anyone could talk back to him. Annie put her hand on my shoulder and I looked around at all the disappointed faces around me.

''No worry Angel, if he wants to meddle with the moon goddess's plans, he has anther thing coming... I guess, if you can't go to the ball with permission, we'll have to break a few rules wont we!'' Severus smiled at me before ruffling my hair.

Excitement filled the room as Annie said something that made everyone burst into a fit of laughter. ''Well for a woman who's in her eighties, I feel like im sixteen sneaking out of the house to go to parties again!''

As I wiped away the tears from my face, Hanna made me stand in a clear space in the room before pulling out a pale blue dress out of her bag. It was something out of a modern day Cinderella story. Lace frilling the neckline of the dress and it was tight at the waist, from where, it flared out all the way to my feet.
