"What do you mea-" his voice was cut off by a loud roar from the building.

Alpha Zack stormed into the middle of the dance floor as he looked around everywhere. Oh goddess.

"Where is she. Where's Angel!" He screamed in the face of Severus whilst still maintaining some sort of authority.

"Well she should be at home, you'd know." Severus looked calm and graceful whilst responding.

He grabbed Severus's arm as his claws extended, piercing into his skin. I stood in shock and watched in horror as blood oozed down Severus's arm

"Old man I'll ki-"

"YOU'LL DO NO SUCH THING." I looked up from my bowed head to see Alpha king stalking towards Zack.

"You may be head of this pack but don't forget whose head of you, pup."

He grabbed Zack by his collar and rose him off the ground before throwing him across half the room.

"Respect. Learn it or you'll never get any." He said before looking down at Severus.

"Are you okay?" Severus looked at him in awe as he he took out his folded handkerchief and wrapped it around his arm.

Severus coughs several times before nodding and looking around the ballroom

"Show respect to your king." Severus's voice boomed through the room and everyone's heads bowed down automatically. No question. No defiance. The crowd had mixed expressions as to what just went down. Some were contorted in horror where some looked with expressions of joy and awe.

I,myself, bowed down just like the others to hide the sheer horror that was being portrayed on my face.

My mate is a monster. He'll never be able to save me.

I looked back up to see that Hephaestus was looking down at me. I started shaking, my body seizing up in the terror I was feeling.  I know what he was feeling. I felt his surge of power.

He may be a great man, however, I couldn't be with him knowing he was a ticking time bomb. I could feel it. He was just as I.

Ready to explode.

When he did. I knew that I would be left in a damaged world of shrapnel.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by two large hands cupping my face.

''Mate.''

His voice resounded in the hall. The room was silent yet I could hear every thought. Every emotion. Every opinion.

''Who is she?''

 ''Is she from our pack?''

''When did she arrive?''

Questions were being passed around in silent whispers all through the hall. I, however, couldn't move. I was too busy wandering the forests in his eyes. I could get lost forever.

''Angel?''

Severus' voice shook me out of my reverie and his hand on my shoulder shook me slightly.

''Are you okay?'' His voice was sinful. Deep and mellow, I felt warmth wash all over me from it.

''I-i am fine?'' I was trying to set a hard tone to my voice however the statement came out more as a question as I was still dazed from the recent events. I turned around to Severus.

''I'm not feeling too well. Can we go home now?'' I was speaking as I felt is presence come right behind me.

''You're coming with me.'' I didn't want to turn around. Instead I ignored the urge to jump on my mate and grabbed Severus' hand and walked towards the stairs... to the exit. I couldn't be near him.

I could feel the collective shock as I lifted off my mask and unveiled my face to everyone. Dropping the mask in a hurry to leave at the door I rushed Severus into the car we came in and we sped off. I could feel that he was holding back the urge to question me but I wasn't in the mood to give answers. Instead we both rode back in the most uncomfortable silence I have experienced to date.

As soon as we reached the pack house I ran straight through the house to my room. Ignoring all the questions being thrown at me from behind.

''ANGEL WAIT!'' I heard Severus say. I wasn't in the mood to spill my heart out. My heart was feeling some type of way and I couldn't get over the depressive mood that clouded me.

Hephaestus

After I got over the initial shock she put me through I looked around to see that she was running with the old man.

''WAIT!'' I ran after her, ignoring all the shocked looks in the crowd. I didn't even get to see her face. I saw her throw the mask out the car door as she sped off.

I signaled to the guard to come over as I caught up to where her car had been parked. i grabbed the mask that smelt of her and looked over at the guard.

''I am leaving.''

I got in my own car and sped off to the pack house.

You can run but you cant hide baby. I'll find you no matter what.

I followed the scent trail and knew it headed off into the pack house. However when I reached I was accosted by the man called Severus and his friends.

''I dont know what happened, however I do know its something to do with you.''

I looked over at the man and narrowed my eyes

''Is that meant to mean something to me?'' I said in a cold voice as I walked into the house and followed the trail.

I kept walking until the pack house changed into an undeveloped area. The place smelt of concrete and felt cold. What was she doing here?

I walked down the corridor a little bit more until I found a solemn room on the left. I walked up to the door to find that it was unlocked. I didn't want to intrude but my wolf was itching to get close to his mate. Knowing she was in there I knocked softly before entering. I could hear the sound of a shower running as I walked in and sat on the mattress on the floor. I looked around the room in disgust. It was a prison cell.

What on earth was she doing here?
