Zim

I grinned widely as the TV turned off, turning around to GIR.

"GIR! We're heading on another mission! Get the voot cruiser ready!"

GIR lept onto the floor, syrup dripping from his head.

"Oooh! A mission? What we gonna doooooo?" He said, grinning.

"Quiet! We will be gone for a very long time. We might as well take the base. Now get the voot ready!"

"Yes sir!"

------------------------------------------------------------

The earth's sun had set, leaving its moon to rise and cast darkness across the disgusting human city. Sat in the ship, I pressed the remote and the entire base retracted, leaving a pit where it used to be. Screeching, GIR retrieved the folded tiny version and jumped out of the hole, dancing around it.

Before I had been eager, the tallests had given me an important mission! They even called me! It meant they finally believed I had what it took.

But now, it seemed strange to leave. I had spent multiple earth years trying to take over the planet, I had gotten so far, and I was just leaving it all behind to start again. I made a lot of memories here and did nothing important to end off the story.

And... The Dib...

He... I was leaving... Him. I might never see him again. For some odd reason, that thought was upsetting to me. Over time I'd grown somewhat... Attached... To the boy.

I grimaced and gripped the control. Irkens were not supposed to be attached to anything.

"Come on, GIR! We are going now!" I yelled. GIR looked at me through the glass and grinned, running up and jumping in through a hole in the ceiling before it closed up.

"What 'bout Mary?" He asked, shaking off the dog suit and looking, confused, out the voot's viewfinder.

"We are leaving him behind." I said, starting up the ship.

"But he likes youuuuuuu! And you like himmmmm!"

"LIES!" I screamed. "We do not like each other. He even punched me earlier. And called me a freak. And I called his head big. We don't like each other."

The voot raised into the sky, flying up and slowly gaining velocity. I ignored the looks of confusion from the humans below, ignoring the thought that they were one day all going to be annihilated. I rocketed out of Earth's atmosphere, nearly the speed of light.
Normally, the trip from Earth to the Irken Armada would take months, but apparently they were waiting for me, as I doubt I traveled more than an hour before The Massive loomed before my small ship. I docked in the loading bay and dashed through the ship, up an elevator, around a hundred corners and ten dead ends before I arrived at the cockpit. The doors slid open to reveal the place I'd seen so many times through the TV screen behind my couch, yet had never known to exist outside of that display. The pride of Irk, The Massive, with its precious cargo of the Tallests.
You could say it was a monumental moment in my life.

"Zim!" The Tallest Red called, and I raised my hands over my head, awaiting praise. "We...uh...weren't expecting you so soon!"

"Yes, yes, but Zim is an excellent flier! I drove my voot cruiser to the limit to get here on time for my special mission. Now gimme!" The tallests conversed in hushed voices, then sighed and beckoned me over to stand on the deck overlooking the large viewfinder with them.

"Do you remember when we sent you to Hobo 13 for training?" The Tallest Purple supplied, and I nodded. A slow grimace was creeping through my stomach. Don't send me back there, it was dreadful. I hoped silently.

"Well this is a similar mission! Were gonna send you to secret planet for more training!"

"...Training?" I repeated. "Zim doesn't need training. I am AMAZING!"

"Yes but...uh..." the tallest clad in purple stammered, before his companion humored him, "This is a planet only the best go to for training! It is a privilege to be considered for this mission!"

"Hm... While Zim may be a top notch invader, it can not hurt to prove this to the instructor. And, Zim is clearly very privileged... Alright! Where is this planet you speak of?" I said, straightening myself up to look as tall as possible. It helped that if bought a pair of those earth shoes that made humans taller. Platform shoes I think they were called. Stupid name. Clearly I, the almighty Zim, was much smarter to think of "lengthy tall-y shoes".

The tallests had to recover from a fit of giggles before continuing. Looking around, the rest of the people in there looked sad. Clearly sad they were not getting to go to such an amazing training planet, like me. Though, they looked almost sympathetic...

"The directions have been programmed into your ship." Said the one clad in red, bringing my attention back to the tallests.

I nodded, looking up at them. Of course, not as much as I would once have, I had grown a bit and with the shoes, I wasn't much shorter than them compared to when I last saw them in person.

"Zim?"

"Yes my tallests?" I asked.

"You can leave now."

It occurred to me I had been standing there for a bit longer than necessary, thinking over my new height.

"Right." I said, saluting. Turning on my heel, I marched out of the room and grinned, dashing back through the massive. The tallests had finally began to believe in me. That was plenty reason for me to run through The Massive, beaming and laughing with a mixture of joy (though I hate to admit it, but as the amazing Zim, I have easily done it) and villainy.
