Once inside the tent Thranduil excused all the Elf servants and the only people to remain was the Queen, Gandalf, the leader of men whose name Thranduil didn't care to acquire nor remember, and himself. "You sir, dragon slayer, what is your name?" The Queen asked, shock appeared on the achers face, as if he himself forgot he was even here. Thranduil rolled his eyes, "What does his name matter? There are more important things to discuss." He spat causing the man to choke back what he was about to say. The Queen narrowed her eyes at Thranduil, "It matters to me, as it should matter to you to know the next King of man." At the Queen's words the brown haired man started to shake his head. "I'm sorry, uh- your Majesty, but I'm no King of men. My name is Bard, I'm a simple bargemen."
Queen Elearion's eyebrows rose at Bard's words, "So you are not the dragon slayer, and it wasn't you that rallied all of your people to first fight the dwarves and when the orcs arrived them too? You aren't the archer to whom your people look to for what to do? Well forgive me for my mistake then, bring me him because he is to be the next great leader of man." The Elven Queen spoke, her words arrows aimed directly at the archer's pride. The flustered Bard started to stammer the words "Well.." and "Yes, but.." until finally the wizard came to his aid. "What I believe Bard is trying to say here is yes those things are true about him but he doubts himself, though he should not." The gray wizard spoke calmly, offering a smile to the now speechless and sheepish Bard. "Ahh," the White Queen says though this is what she knew to be true all along. "So you doubt yourself? Bard the dragon slayer." Elearion asks rhetorically, Thranduil rolls his eyes once more, he was tired of this foolish game. "Are we quite finished yet with his denile of being the next King of man? Because I think it's time to return to more important matters, like, for instance, how you are alive Elearion?" The King of the Mirkwood states bluntly, tired of the tedious conversations they were having.
The White Queen was silent for a moment as if trying to remember herself. Mithrandir was also silently aghast, he too baffled at how she was in front of them now. Bard on the other hand looked dumbfounded and lost amongst their silent questions. Finally once she spoke, she offered only three words of explanation, "I don't know."
