Luke
.
Ever since Mia got accepted into college a few days ago, the guilt of not telling her about my letter faded away. It was around 1:30AM when she woke the rest of us up to share the good news. The way she reacted was adorable. Her blue eyes were wide, glinting with hope. It made me really happy to see her like that. She got really excited and started jumping up and down on her bed with Ruby while the rest of us watched, happy for her.
At least I could tell Mia I got mine the day after.
It wasn't lying - it was just missing out minor details. I think.
Calum, Ruby and I were currently sitting on Mia's bed, watching her race around the room, searching for clothes to pack. The excitement still hadn't worn off yet, but it was cute. I sat cross legged on a pile of her clothes, staring at her as she constantly checked the time (I had no idea why) while Ruby and Calum sat on their phones, one reading fan fiction and one texting. Guess who was reading the fan fiction.
Calum.
Just kidding, it was Ruby. That girl would not shut up about Harry Styles and his sexual tension. It was actually painful to hear her rant about his dick.
Calum just blocked her out, texting Michael. He couldn't come because he was stuck at a family birthday dinner while Ashton had his own packing to do, but his siblings were also bothering him. Suckers.
"Hey, maybe you should calm down." I chuckled, watching Mia check the time again.
She looked up at me and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry. I'm just -"
"Excited?" I laughed. "Yeah, I can tell."
Mia just shrugged, a small smile on her face. I stood up and wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her into my chest. I loved holding her.
I pressed a small kiss to her forehead and she looked up at me. "Luke, have you heard anything yet?" She asked quietly, wrapping her arms around my neck.
"Uh...not yet." I shook my head.
Mia just nodded, resting her head on my chest. I smiled and placed a hand on her lower back, ignoring Calum's glares.
But when he stood up, it scared the hell out of me.
"Hey Mia?"
Calum, no. No. Please don't do this to me.
"Mhm?" She pulled away from me to look at him. Calum glanced at me.
Hoe don't do it.
He cleared his throat, looking back at Mia. "Just wanted to say you should relax. By the end of the summer, you might get too stressed out if you keep thinking about college."
"Oh. Well, thanks Calum." Mia smiled.
Yes, thank you Calum.
"You're welcome." He smiled sweetly. The minute she turned around, he punched me on the arm and glared. I winced and glared back.
"Ouch?"
"Guys?" Mia blinked, frowning at the both of us. We laughed awkwardly.
"Just a little play fighting, that's all." Calum explained, an innocent smile plastered on his face. "I need to talk to Luke."
Mia just nodded slowly. "Um...okay." She mumbled and turned back to her suitcase.
Calum grabbed my ear and dragged me out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.
