I curled a strand of my hair, hearing a knock on the door. I sighed and put the curling iron down, walking over to it. I assumed it was Luke. I was right.
"Hey gorgeous." He grinned, leaning against the doorframe. "Ready to go? Or do you need more time?"
I smiled and shook my head. "Just about ready. I was doing my hair."
"You still look beautiful." Luke smiled a small smile, stepping into the dorm. He closed the door behind him and walked over to my bed.
I picked up my curling iron and continued curling my hair, unplugging it once I finished. I checked my makeup in the mirror then heard my phone buzz. I looked down at it and read the text.
From: Calum
To: Me
Hey, are you guys on your way?To: Calum
From: Me
Yeah, we're in my dorm. I've just finished getting ready. See you in ten minutesFrom: Calum
To: Me
See you then (:I smiled and put my phone down. I looked up at Luke in the mirror and giggled at the expression on his face.
"How did I get so lucky?" I hear him mumble. I blushed and stepped away from the mirror as he stood up from the bed.
Luke snaked his arms around my waist, pressing a gentle kiss to my forehead. "I'm being serious. You're so beautiful, Mia."
I smiled shyly and leaned forward, resting my chin on his shoulder. I wrapped my arms around his torso and closed my eyes. He chuckled softly and pulled me into his chest.
"I lo -"
He cut himself off and quickly pushed himself away from me. I frowned.
"Luke? What's wrong?" I asked quietly.
What just happened?
"Nothing. Are you ready to go?" Luke wouldn't look at me.
"I-yeah...I guess so." I mumbled.
"Good. Come on." He grabbed my hand and led me out of the dorm. I stayed silent, and so did Luke. He laced our fingers together, but he didn't do anything else. Why was he acting like this?

When we arrived at the party, Luke had started talking to me again. I didn't ask him what was wrong, I just went along with it.
It was a freshman college party. Alcohol was everywhere, already drunk college students were scattered around the place and loud music blared from the huge black speakers in the living room. I looked at Luke. He looked comfortable here. Of course he would.
I felt Luke squeeze my hand gently. I looked up at him.
"You okay?" He had to lean closer to me so I could hear him over the loud music. I nodded my head and looked around the living room, searching for Calum.
"Come on." I pulled him towards what I assumed was the kitchen and stepped inside. I stopped in my tracks.
Six girls and eight guys were all crowded around the kitchen island. One girl with red hair was lying on top of it with a random guy's lips attached to her stomach. My eyes widened and I quickly looked away.
"N-not here." I muttered and quickly tugged Luke away from the kitchen. I noticed the smirk on his face and frowned. "What?"
"Nothing." He chuckled. He smirked again. "Just...we should try that sometime."
