Luke

.

"When did you get that?"

I looked up from my laptop, raising an eyebrow at Drew. He was sitting on his bed with his legs stretched out and his head against the wall. His eyes were closed and he tapped his foot along to whatever music that was playing through the one earphone he had in.

As if he could sense my questioning look, he tapped his bottom lip, the corner to be exact. What? I touched my lip. Oh.

"So when did you get it?"

"Sometime last year, I think. Why?" I sighed quietly, looking back down at my laptop screen.

"Just wondering. Do you always keep that thing on?"

"Yeah, I guess so." I shrugged, glancing up at him. "Are you sure there isn't any specific reason as to why you're asking me these questions?"

"No." Drew opened one eye and looked over at me. "I'm just curious. I've never met someone with a lip ring who's also fun to annoy."

I raised an eyebrow. "Was that supposed to be a joke?"

He chuckled. "Well, it was pretty funny to me."

"Shut up, Drew." I grumbled. "You're not funny. You just sound dumb."

"See? You're so fun to annoy." Drew smirked. Again with the smirking. I wanted to punch that smirk off his face.

I shook my head, staying silent as I glared down at my laptop screen. I tried to read through the essay I was working on, but it was hard with Drew's constant humming. I felt my phone vibrate beside me and looked over, seeing Calum's name on the screen.

I picked the phone up and answered the call, letting out a quiet sigh. "Hello?"

"Luke? Hey, we need you to come to my dorm. Now." I heard shuffling on the other line and frowned.

"Why? What's going on? Is everything okay?"

"Can you just come over here?" Calum sighed.

"Yeah, alright. Give me five minutes." I saved my work then shut the laptop down, closing the lid.

"Thanks." Calum mumbled before hanging up. I locked my phone and slipped it in my pocket, standing up after move the laptop off my lap.

"Going somewhere?" Drew looked up at me, raising both of his eyebrows.

"Got a problem?" I huffed, grabbing my room key. "I'm gonna go to my friend's dorm for a while, that's all."

"Alright. Say hi to Mia for me." I looked at Drew. He was smirking. I rolled my eyes and stomped out the room, slamming the door shut behind me.

I reached Calum's dorm a few minutes later, having to go up the staircase since the elevator was taking way too long and whatever Calum wanted sounded urgent, so I didn't have time to wait around. I knocked on the door and heard a "come in", so I opened it slowly and stepped inside, taking a look around.

Calum's dorm looked like Comic Con. There were Marvel posters plastered on every wall, piles of video games on one of the desks, plush toys of video game characters on the other bed in the corner, small models of robots with swords on the nightstand beside that bed and different superhero comics on the floor.
