Dear Anonymous,

Life has done what it does – and now I find myself completely alone.

Alone in school -

Like a fish deemed as an outsider.

Alone at home –

Like a fisherman's lone boat out at sea.

Alone wherever I go –

As if I were my own isolated island.

So I am confiding in you –

Humble stranger –

To bring me comfort –

Warm and welcoming,

Unlike the waves of oblivion –

That I find myself so often lost.
