When I Close My Eyes

An afternoon snack?

It clicked. It simply clicked. I looked down at the gun and pulled the trigger again.... It clicked again...
"We're the dumb ones ,eh?" I heard the leader's taunt.
I hissed and my gaze darted around before I shot forward shoving James down like a football player would defending the ball, I stopped about 10 foot away from them, there was a huge chain link fence that scaled up a good 10 foot, I hissed in fury as I backed up 5 foot before just sprinting and then jumping onto the wall, I didn't have time to look for an exit, I looked down to see Jane in the process of heaving James to his feet, I didn't see Frankie anywhere... I continued to scale the wall until I reached the top, I undid my belt and loosened it before clipping it to the fence- still around my waist- so I didn't fall, I needed a slight break, I wiped the sweat off my forehead before I wiped my sweaty hands on my pants, I placed one hand on the top of the fence and u clipped my belt from the fence and re clipped it just around my waist, I took a deep breath as I looked down "can't fall, won't fall" I muttered under my breath as I looked up towards the sky at the blinding sun I narrowed my eyes slightly and tightened my grip, I felt the chain link fence vibrate slightly, Jane was on the first bit but James pulled her back and said something, I hissed before continuing to figure out what my plan was after I was over the fence, I nodded slowly and pushed my legs off the fence doing a flip until I felt the fence and I could see the other side, now I was really glad mother made me take gymnastics for years... Very glad..
"What the hell is she doing?! She's gone bloody mad!!" I heard a squeaky girl's voice, presumably Jane's.
I took a deep breath before taking one foot off the fence, I was about to put it in a footing after I turned and went to move my hand, the fence started vibrating sending it waving violently, I lost my footing with one foot I had on the fence, I looked down "oh you little shit!!!" I yelled, Frankie was now on the side of the fence I was on shaking the fence to get me to fall.
"Frankie stop!!!" I heard James demand
She ignored him.
I felt my hand slip....
I screamed as I fell about two foot before grasping the fence, I made my way to the corner where there was a long sturdy pole going fraught to the ground, I latched onto it and slid down all the way to the ground Frankie looked at me innocently with a puppy dog face.
I laughed manically "oh bitch you're going 6 foot under and quick!" I spat as I raised my foot and felt my boot connect with her shoulder, she yelled in pain, I snarled as she hit the ground before leaping over her in quick manor and raced forward "but I've gotta run so, maybe later?" I called over my shoulder as I continued running, she laid on the ground in pain...
Think I broke her shoulder... Oops?
Well she did try to kill me! Serves her right. I darted through the entrance not even bothering to read the sign of the place, I just ran before sliding behind....
A cage?! The hell?! I looked around.. I was in a zoo... How lovely.
I heard screaming.
Close too.
Yet not a girl's voice.
I remembered James had sent 2 boys.
Bessy? Kelly? Mack? Mickey? I couldn't remember their names. I stood slowly and realized the cage I had been hiding behind was...... empty.. I slowly walked around it and looked at the sign...
I gasped..
I knew exactly what was going on...
I could take infected killing but....
I raced around the corner and forward till I was merely 3 foot from the scene "HEY MEAT SACKS!!!" I screeched the big ferocious bloody animals looked to me "YEAH YOU TWO!!!!" I spit at them hitting one, it roared and looked back to the kid, I picked up a rock and threw it hitting one and bounced off onto the other, I now had two angry bloody lions looking at me....
"CMON YOU IDIOTS!!!!! IMBECILES!!!! DUMBASS MOFOS!!!!!" I screeched at them... They both took a step forward, I took off running, I heard their feet pounding violently on the concrete, I just ran....
I screamed to keep their attention on me, before cutting a sharp corner and running out the entrance, I looked over my shoulder to make sure they had followed "THIS WAY YOU ASSHOLES!!!!" I screeched as they followed as I raced, I saw Frankie, James, and Jane come out of the entrance of their camp and their gazes snap to me when they heard me scream, they looked at me like I was insane....
Who knows? Maybe I am...
