A not so normal day

Peridot's pov

My alarm blared the Star Wars theme song which signaled that I have to wake up and go to hell, aka school. "Uuuuuggh" I grumbled while silencing my alarm. Within 20 minutes, I threw on my green hoodie, an MCR t-shirt, capri jeans, and high tops, and combed through my short blonde hair. Now that I got that over with, all I have to do is make coffee and leave my apartment. (I moved away from home as soon as I got my car, so that explains why I live by myself in a stupid apartment.)
Today is going to be just like every other day. Go to school and get ignored by everyone is what my "normal day" is. I never really had any friends, but that doesn't bother me. What's the point of friends anyways? Once I graduate, I won't see any of these clods. All that matters is maintaining my A's, having a good reputation, a clean slate, and getting accepted into MIT.
After I finished my usual morning routine, I headed out to my car. "Ugh, I hate Mondays.." I uttered to myself. I started my car and drove off to school. It takes just 20 minutes to drive to my living hell and then I have to spend 7 hours of my miserable life there.

*At school*

When I parked my car, I walked to the building trying to refrain from looking at anyone. I have gone to school with the same people ever since kindergarten, but I tend to keep to myself. After all, keeping to myself is one of the things I'm best at, besides school and video games. Although I like not having any friends, I now have social anxiety due to the lack of contact I have with people. I personally think that is the only disadvantage of being a loner. I'm such a loner that I even go into the building 20 minutes before school starts while everyone else socializes, oops.
'Maybe I should try to go out my comfort zone' I thought to myself. There is only 30 feet left until I get to the door, so I might as well just look to the sides of me. Here goes nothing, literally. I found myself stop and turn my head to the left, and my eyes locked on to a girl with blue hair. She wore a white crop top, light blue high waisted shorts, and converse. I personally liked her outfit a lot, but I don't feel comfortable telling her that I do. After I finished my quick examination, I looked forward and continued walking to the door.
As soon as I was about to walk in the building, I heard someone shout "Hey!" I turned my head towards the sound, and saw the blue haired girl walking towards me. "M-me?" I stuttered. 'Smooth move Peridork.' "Yes you, silly! Want to come over to my house for a party? I know you've never been to one because you want to maintain a good reputation, but you need to have fun at some point." The girl giggled as she handed me an invitation. "Well, I suppose one party couldn't hurt, but I don't even know your name." I answered. "I know yours, but we can still introduce ourselves. I'm Lapis, and you are?" "Peridot." "Well miss Peridot, I would love to get to know you better, and I think that this party will be just the thing. My address is on there and so is my number. If you want to go, just text me or tell me if you see me in the hallway." Damn, she is really persistent. Maybe I should just go, how bad could it be? "I'll just give you the answer now. I'm going." I replied. "Thank you Peri! See you there!!!" she squealed as she hugged me. Awkwardly, I hugged her back and accepted the nickname she gave me. "See you there." I replied as I pulled away from the hug and she stood outside near the door. Maybe this won't be so bad after all..

Author's note:
So this is my first time ever writing a fanfic 😅. I know this page was short, but I'll be making them longer. If you liked it, please comment and vote. Commenting really helps me write things that you'd enjoy reading so it would be helpful if you did!
